why does everyone go on about this booing thing? he never gets booed at all, some fans make the odd "argghhhh" noise when he dwells on the ball but we do it to everyone, people make it out like our fans only go to the game so they can boo ross barkley
 
I think barkley is a sign of martinez faupts; credit to him for playing him in his first season but we need a more experience manager to bring barkley to more refined role and some actual direction to what kind of player he is. He needs to accept he will never be moved away from being a viewed as luxury player if he does put his body on the line for his boyhood club but I don't blame him one bit it's all on the manager

Agree completely. The commentator is a moron. Need to start games with intensity, slow sloppy football.

Just think it's hard as a central player when they have every man behind the ball. Deulofeu had others making space for him and he was ace, but Ross was the one trying to pull players away and look for the pass. They were pretty well organised, though he still managed to slip a few good through balls through.

Anyone giving him stick really needs to look at Howard and Stones. They were the reason we were in that position, and then even Coleman and Rom for missing some very good opportunities when we did break through.
 
Did nothing today. He should be creating the chances in his position and then getting in the box on the end of things. He did neither today.

Howard didn't have much to do today. Stones was awful at fault for so many things, Barkley was giving the ball away too much. Anyway for me it stands with one person and thats Martinez, just not good enough.

To be honest, the side looked an utter mess when Besic and Mirallas went off. He looked lost.

You have Cleverly and Pienaar on the left, Barry alone in the middle...and Barkley didn't know to either drop deep to start play or play from Lukaku to link attacks.

He had a bad game (still created some chances though).

But it was poor from Martinez who had no idea what to do.
 

Great talent but he has the concentration span of a goldfish,... 3 packets of wrigleys stuffed in his gob today, he was focusing on that more than the game
