It worries me that the whoppers may drive him away.
Nah man every club has their whoppers and players (should) know that it's all nonsense.
Professional players know not to pay any attention to them.

You would hope. A bit more patience and positivity from fans could go a long way in helping him progress.Nah man every club has their whoppers and players (should) know that it's all nonsense.

If you're driving, Dover! For a decent transfer fee I'd happily drive him wherever it takes!

Still think some of the crowd treatment of him is counterproductive, just not as outright destructive as it was before
Anyone who hates on Barkley is a top shelf moron. You're the people who expect him to dribble through 6 opposition players then score a banger or assist Kone. Well that's not the boy. He's a super talented lad who can dictate play in midfield, and every so often make something super special happen in the box. Anyone who has these annoying unrealistic expectations is definitely struggling with erectile distinction and should stop taking it out on the most talented boy we've had in a generation. He is what he is. He's not at the moment a one man wrecking ball, but given patience will be unbelievable, and so many of you tools just can't see it. Believe in the boy please
I've said it before, Barkley looks a lot more confident away than at home.
At Goodison he treats the ball like a hot potato at times and often plays it simple.
Away he is far more expressive and willing to try things.
Getting on the lads back at Goodison when something doesn't come off is counter productive.
