Ross Barkley

Anyone who hates on Barkley is a top shelf moron. You're the people who expect him to dribble through 6 opposition players then score a banger or assist Kone. Well that's not the boy. He's a super talented lad who can dictate play in midfield, and every so often make something super special happen in the box. Anyone who has these annoying unrealistic expectations is definitely struggling with erectile distinction and should stop taking it out on the most talented boy we've had in a generation. He is what he is. He's not at the moment a one man wrecking ball, but given patience will be unbelievable, and so many of you tools just can't see it. Believe in the boy please

Was very worried about it last season, but he seems to have found a bit more inner confidence this year - he is calmer somehow.

Still think some of the crowd treatment of him is counterproductive, just not as outright destructive as it was before

A lot of the fans at Goodison are proper whoppers with some of our young players. Nea to say it

It's the fact he does with ease what other midfielders for the likes of Liverpool, United, even City and Chelsea, can only dream of. He just makes it look so easy that our melt supporters have got used to it and expect him to do more.

Keep on doing what you're doing, Barks.

At this rate he's set for 15 goals and at least 12-13 assists in all (domestic) competitions. That's top class for any midfielder.

I've said it before, Barkley looks a lot more confident away than at home.

At Goodison he treats the ball like a hot potato at times and often plays it simple.

Away he is far more expressive and willing to try things.

Getting on the lads back at Goodison when something doesn't come off is counter productive.

It's definitely part to do with some of the melts mate, and as well, to be fair to said melts, away teams do put two or three markers on him whenever he gets on the ball.

Combination of both.

This thread is getting out of hand I am all for having different opinions and the right to express them. But lets be reasonable we can discuss Ross day and night but something we can't argue about is facts his stats so far this season are beyond most midfielders in the league 8 goals 8 assists with a pass accuracy close to 90%
