I suggest people put him on ignore and dont feed him.

Hes not breaking any rules, so sadly theres very little the mods can do to remove him, so ignore is the only sensible option.

Hang on - it's a forum for sharing opinions. I have never - and would never - have a go at a player at a game (though Howard could well be an exception to that this season if he carries on...) I'm just offering an opinion.

I think he's a very good player. I just tire of the ridiculous hyperbole thrown around about him. He's not a great and is nowhere near "special". He has potential but has had that tag for four years.

I'm not being negative here - just offering a balanced alternative (in my view). At the match I cheer on Barkley like everyone else. No question.

If you can be bothered look at my comments in support of the manager for example - far from mean-spirited. Likewise plenty of others such as McCarthy, Barry, Gibson, Osman, Mori and Pienaar where I've defended players against the onslaught of the Skegness beach massive and his like.

I was wrong about Besic - where he stood out recently at a level I didn't think he had.

If Barkley can play to a better standard and cut out some of the constant silly mistakes I'd be the first to acknowledge I was wrong.

I do enjoy what he brings to the game but that doesn't stop me being frustrated with his shortcomings or offering an alternative opinion.

It's only posters like Charlie and Stevie Wonderwigan that run Barks down. If Dougie was still posting he'd probably be at it by now. No concerns here, Ross waves his privates at them on his way to greatness.

Of course mate. I cheer every Everton goal. I watched the game on TV and smiled when the presenter waxed lyrical about what a talent Barkley was only to find it was a massive deflection.
