Need to secure his signing - totally agree.
Captain in the near future- hmm, not sure on that, he doesn't need that extra burden yet.
Sell Stones - WHAT ?
Sell Lukaku - WHAT ?
Bound to become a great in the long term - keep Stones and Lukaku and replace the aging and bit-part players like Ossie, Gibson etc with better, younger quality and keep the likes of Mo Besic, RFM, Jimmy Mac, Gerard, Galloway etc and greatness for them all could come in a much shorter term.

The key to this current and a slightly improved squad winning a trophy and going on to achieve a collective greatness is finding a modern day Neville Southall.

Love Ross and I genuinely believe he will be here for his career. He isn't ready for Captaincy though by a long way. He hasn't matured enough mentally yet.

I honestly don't think we will see the best of Barkley until he's 25/26, mouth watering to think how much better he can be when he realises that he is the best player on the park 9 times out of 10.

All Ross has to do to get the crowd off his back is to release the ball earlier! Even if it goes wrong, we can see what he was trying to do and applaud it! It is when he hangs on, hangs on, hangs on, then loses the ball or passes it back! I know he is young, but if he doesnt have the confidence to trust his instincts and have a punt, he may always be erratic!

That might be the best scenario. Keeping Ross and Lukaku is a must, but we could buy 2/3 decent players for the cash we will get for Stones and not miss him imo.

If we presume Jags has another season left in him, then the obvious choices are Mirallas.

Thats just crazy talk. He's played about 3 games and just plays for himself. You want to give it to someone who will take pride in it and give them another 10-20% like McCarthy or Barkley
