Compare that to last season: 36 appearances, 2 goals, 3 assists. And he's pretty much doubled his goals and trebled his assists from 13/14 when we were flying.

I agree sometimes he has a habit of dwelling on the ball and there are still things he needs to work on/learn but his final ball is improving and he is having more influence on more games. Even yesterday when not at his best he got an assist and sprung into life at the edge of the box to get the ball to Lennon who put the cross in for our 2nd goal.

He can be frustrating, but he's obviously going to be a very good player... let's stop writing him off eh?

If he was in a City or Chelsea side, even Spurs, I don't think he'd be frustrating to watch.

It's all down to the players around him and how he's used. Our movement up top at points in this season has been awful.

Always said, he could be a English Ozil or Silva for me. Instead we want him to be Gerrard or Lampard.

I think our fan base doesn't deserve him and I hope he joins a team in the summer where his talents will be appreciated.

I don't know. All I know is that Ross has been our best player this season, is only 22 and still can't get a break from a number of our fan base. What do they want from him?

Totally agree we have some belters when it comes to attitudes towards Ross.

But this 'we don't deserve him' etc., I don't get. Club brought him through the academy, gave him a platform to show his talent, pay him a considerable amount of money and most of the supporters hold him in high esteem.

We deserve him. He's ours, a young, passionate, scouse Evertonian. Sure some need to lay off the psychopathic vitriol, but that's just about the extent of it.

Love Barkley to bits, but needs to lose a few pounds and start having a go off the ball, very lazy. I think that's why certain groups of fans get on him back.

Same here mate. Bringing some of the critism on himself by giving the appearnce he can't be bothered (or simply just can't) chase back. All the talent in the world. Get fit and come back strong next season Ross.

It would seem his attitude could be better but looking at rumours lately of contracts and manager all is not well me thinks.

Funny how he's seen from an opposition point of view.
Chatting to a mate last. Utd fan who went to the semi. He thought Barkley was outstanding. And said he was panicking every time he got ball. Some of our fans want perfection every game sadly

He was poor in the semi IMO, but overall he's been top this season.

It'll be a sad day if/when he leaves.

I don't think that will be this summer though.
