Ross Barkley

Furious at his display at recent times.

As a top flight professional footballer, there's a requirement of consistence. Ross has really dropped off.

Terrible form.

Firstly, he needs to lose a bit of the weight.

Only he can do that.

Oh, and he needs to stop thinking he can beat 4 men a time all the time.

Terrific skill, but wasted.

Bonkers to think that he's not good enough though.

A bad season put behind, one would hope.

Love for him to do well!

Local lads are few and far between these days.

Everyone should get behind him.

Ross Barkley, future star?
I don't think he's had a bad season. Yes a bad last 3 months, which is a shame as people tend to remember the end of the season when it comes saying a player had a good season or not.

But up to February he's was having a very good season. And on stats he was ahead of of the likes of Ali. Was smashing sterling. And was even ahead of pogba. And this was on goals, assists, take ons, pass completion and chances created. He was also in the top 3 of the squawka rankings for the whole league. Only behind Ozil and marhez. I know some people don't believe in stats, which is fair enough. Just making the point that for 2/3rds of the season he has showed massive improvement from the season before.

I do agree with a lot of what you say though. Especially about his size and fitness. Hopefully a new manger will sort this out and start coaching him to become a better player

Fitness is the cornerstone of performance an an elite level. It involves balance, flexability, explosive power, stamina, acceleration etc etc but confidence is also a side effect of knowing you are in peak condition. None of our team are and I think it is the single greatest reason for the abysmal performances seen for the past two years. Ross dithering on the ball and lacking effort are a result of not being physically and therefore mentally sharp enough. I hope so anyway because getting them physically fit should be easy enough under the right direction.

Yeah can't wait to watch his pitbull shed his coat

The new man will come in and see it straight away, I dont mean his "weight", hes not fat, hes just been bulking up, what they will see is his talent, Roberto saw it, we all see it. We can build a legacy round the lad, he has everything needed to reach the top, he just currently lacks self confidence, Roberto thought he could blow smoke up his arse all the time, the new man will try a different approach and WHEN it works, watch him go.

Ross Barkley, Superstar, Evertonian.

Hopefully, our new manager will demand a higher level of performance and push him to achieve it, instead of letting him drift around without knowing exactly what his role in the team is. Just watch any game time he gets in the Euros, he'll be a different player.

Not really bothered if or not he gets playing time in the Euros, first and foremost he plays for Everton is all that really matters.
I have criticised him , praised him too.
Time for him to show us all he is the diamond in the crown ,hopefully the new manager will have the nouse to let the lad blossom

More than his weight, fitness, technical ability etc I just worry about his mental fortitude and just how quickly he can look lost and bewildered out there. Confidence seems to be a huge factor with him.

Seen Ross in town with his mates doing a bit if shopping. For those who think he's fat......pff,t GTF the lad is built like a brick s'house, like a natural body builder. I was shocked how bulky he his but so slim round the waist
If he's gaining muscle then that would explain the decline in his overall fitness. You wouldn't mistake Mo Farah for a body builder.

He not fat but maybe to heavy for a footbaler
