Ross Barkley

Basically it's muscle and fat, it's really hard to lose it if you bulked up while being a bit fat apparently. Good luck barkley

Can only be reviewed properly once we get a top manager in. Those saying he's finished or should be replaced by 17 year olds are mad. Ross did more at 16/17 than some of those players. What has happened is he has been mismanaged and has tried to take up the mantle for the whole team. Looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. A good manager will find a position he is comfortable in next season and we will have one of the top players in the prem no doubt in my mind.
I liked this post coz I so want it to be true.
I had so much confidence and hope in Barkley and feel this year he's pissed it all in my face.
Let's hope a change for him is as good as we all hope the change for Everton will be.

Think how good he was in the first half of the season. He was driving everything good that we did and we thought he was fulfilling the promise shown in Martinez's first season.

Fitness has played a massive part of his decline in the latter part of the season. However, he's obviously a confidence player and at his best when he plays on instinct. When the team began playing poorly and we had a few disappointing late defeats a lot of heads dropped and you could see the confidence was sucked out of a lot of players.

Don't forget that when he had the poor season last year he had been away with England and then was injured on the eve of the season. Obviously being forced out on the wing played apart but I think a lack of fitness effected him last season too.

I have no doubt that after a proper preseason with a new manager that sorts his fitness out we'll see the real Ross Barkley again.

I will be quite shocked if Ross doesn't get a start on Friday especially after watching the last effort from England.
There seems to be the thought that Alli and Ross are in direct competition - which could be true - but they are totally different players.
Also, the amount of times Alli gets caught in possession, or has a poor first touch or his poor passing nothing gets mentioned. Not saying he is a bad player at all because he obviously isn't, but it's this 'English' mentality that because he is running around all over the place he is playing well. It's not always the case, I'd bet (sticking my neck on the line) most of his stats are at least equal or bettered by Barkley.

Blue tinted or what, just really annoys me how the media dictate people's opinions.
