If Sterling and Wilshere in particular and Lallana not far behind can get get on the England team then I don't see why Evertonians should not be upset about Barkley and Stones missing out. They have hardly played all season and then all get to play a part.

I am more than happy to see Stones and Barkley on the bench, I actually wish they were on a beach somewhere.

Leave aside the Everton angle for a moment, can you imagine how unfair Vardy must think it is ?
Can you imagine Rooney thinking that if he was left on the field he would have helped England see out the game...this has been mentioned a lot in the television commentary.

The commentators and English management rave on about how well they played and how unlucky they were. There were playing a team that are regarded as no hopers.
 

People genuinely think Ross and Stones deserve to be included? Or would have made a difference, to what was actually a very decent England performance? We have some massively deluded fans. Not just Zatara!

If these players want to play for England, then they have to be consistently much much better for Everton first. I'm not bothered about Hodgson one way or the other, but you could never realistically accuse him of anti-Everton bias during his time as England boss.

If this line up is repeated and gets beat by Wales, the need to beat Slovakia hopefully leads to the kind of revolt that forced changes in 86 (which apparently never happened, yeah right)

Im deluded but you disagree with some of the worlds top former players who have stated that Stones should be playing every game?

You also seem to think people are being picked on merit with no bias, if so how do you explain Cahill being in the side along with sterling + vardy not getting any time?

Also if playing rooney deep then barkley should be at 10 to receive passes from rooney.

It was a mismatch of a team which had never played together and ended up drawing with Russia who Wales will easily beat.

Are you saying the sainted Bobby Robson had completely stuffed up by taking a clearly unfit Bryan Robson with the squad and building the team around him and the crab that was Butch Wilkins when Peter Reid, Trevor Steven and Glenn Hoddle were warming the Bench?

Robson was on platform at Southampton station after we beat them to set up Spurs game in April 1985. He was reluctant to even select Reidy for the squad. Saw him and starting chanting peter Reid. Whole platform chokka with everton fans took it up. He was not best pleased!!!
 
Koeman is going to have to rebuild his confidence :( moron Hodgson, may as well have stayed at home

Hodgson doesn't have a scooby what to do with players like Barkley. Actually he doesn't really no what to do with any of them. Again he's shoehorning Rooney into a position that we have better players for, he's picking players based on the club they play for rather than form... it all square pegs in round holes. Barkley wouldn't be a sub if he played for a team in Red
 
what is it with modern footballers and not being able to cross the ball? Walker and Rose continually got into good positions to cross and kept over hitting. Makes you realise what an asset Bainsey is.

Anyway back on topic - Barkley is boss and Roy's a kn0bhead not playing him!
