Ross Barkley

Thought that game cried out for Barkley. How alli stayed on I don't know, he was poor all game. Thought Lallana was unlucky to be pulled instead of Alli. It was also a game made for Stones being that not much pressure on our defence and he could have been used to bring the ball forward and deep into Wales half. Ross must not be showing much in training if he is being overlooked so blatantly.

Woy could have easily brought on Ross for Ali, but his substitution in bringing Rashford on was justified for me.

Ross's de-wigertonisation process might take some time...
...but he'll be back.

They had a journo on talksport last night, said he was at the training session where Roy had Ross running at the defence simulating Bale to practice how to play against him , and he is still not being picked.

The less he plays for England, the fresher he will be for us come August. I hope he stays on the bench. At least he won't get the blame like Jags and Bainesy did.

Hodgson doesn't have a scooby what to do with players like Barkley. Actually he doesn't really no what to do with any of them. Again he's shoehorning Rooney into a position that we have better players for, he's picking players based on the club they play for rather than form... it all square pegs in round holes. Barkley wouldn't be a sub if he played for a team in Red

Rooney has probably been our best player.

I would be happy if both Stones and Barkley were to get minor injuries, nothing serious, maybe about three weeks out. They could be sent home or go for a proper holiday in France.

Thats just the definition of madness.

I think he's there solely as a last resort.

Hopefully this experience will end up being a motivator for him, and he'll do everything he can to avoid being in the same position come the World Cup.
