Wish England would just pick the basis of a team and stick to it. Everytime I watch them they play like complete strangers. The only reason it doesn't look so bad on paper is that our group is essentially full of crap teams. It'll be the same old story once we meet the decent sides.

In a pub watching it, so not catching most of it but would agree from what I've seen. Lovely ball to the wing earlier too
it's been like this for years. England manager's aren't allowed to build teams because media and fans are always screaming for 'form' players to be included. I personally think they should pick the best team every game and allow the players to get to know how each other plays.
Caps get given away like sweets. It used to mean something to be "an England International"!

I sort of agree. But the flip works too. If the manager doesn't pick 'form' players then he gets flack too.
That's the point. Everyone whinges when he doesn't pick form players and then everyone whinges when we play like strangers. He can't win
