Ross Barkley

It seems the majority of people want him to stay. But if he does, what do we think is going to change that will improve his performances?

I can't see Koeman using him any differently and if anything I can see him being less of a starter.

Neville got that spot on.

I keep listening to Ronald Koeman , and there is an obsession with talking about Ross Barkley every time he does a press conference,” Neville is reported to have told talkSPORT.

“It looks to me as if he wants him to leave, you don’t just keep saying ‘he has a week to decide’, ‘tomorrow I’ll issue a statement’. It seems to me as if he is probably trying to push Ross out of the door. That is what it looks like from the outside.”

Ross Barkley watch
OK, I don’t want to be the one saying ‘ah but’...

but...

Those expecting a dramatic, press conference style reveal of Barkley’s Everton future today, I think you will be disappointed.

a) clubs just don’t do that kind of thing

b) our man Phil Kirkbride suspects Ronald Koeman’s ‘statement’ comment was taken a little more literally than it was intended.

Neville got that spot on.

Unless Ross has been offered a 50k a week deal that is just not true, anything 80k to 100k is about what he deserves at the moment. If he has a contract in front of him that says that then he hasn't been pushed out.

You can correctly say he hasn't been shown a lot of love though.
