It may be a wage thing as we allegedly made him a very good indeed excellent wage offer {figures vary} - he would look a fool plus his agent will lose out if he was sold cheaply and on a lower wage!

I think you've hit the nail on the head Joe; I personally think his demands are out around the clubs and everyone as thought "not a chance". If it's not his demands then it's more personal as in his attitude.

I think he has been poorly advised, I mean really poorly. His agent wants binning sooner rather than later because this has backfired massively in him

Yup, can't argue with that.

Yes you can, with ease.

1. If they don't need a player in that position chances are they aren't going to be interested.
2. If a team shows no interest it doesn't automatically mean it's because they think they are [Poor language removed]. That's a logical fallacy.
3. No one has claimed he's as good as Lampard, Gerrard or Scholes as far as I can see. You can still be talented and not be as good as three of the best English midfielders of the past two decades.

Koeman is ace, has the right answers, awkward situation this one but least we know we have a manager who can cope with it, hate to think what mess we would of been in, under this circumstance with the last two clowns.

They absolutely have, I'm astonished you haven't seen this one bandied about.

I will tell you if RK is ace at the end of the season this will be his team his buys his selling - Lukaku looks a give away price ATM!

Quotes pls, should be easy to find them. I've never seen anyone say he's as good as gerrard, lampard or scholes... only that he has potential to maybe reach that level which is a different claim altogether.

I could go into a long debate with you about this and we would go around in circles. The crux of the post though was that Ross isnt deemed as good as some here are making him out, I guess we will just have to wait and see where he ends up.

The football world knows he has refused a contract, clubs are always interested in top talent, especially at the right price, let's see who bites.

“I don’t have any update. There is no offer on the table for Ross, that means he will stay at Everton.

“The players has a one year contract and if there is no offer - and maybe the club will not accept the offer because he is a good, young, English player. If somebody wants to buy Ross it’s a big deal.

“If there is no interest then he will stay and be part of the team.

“I respect every personal ambition of every player. Still he is training with Everton, he is part of the team and training in a good way.”
Paging @davek

Osman and Hibbert weren't loyal ffs. Were could they of possibly gone better then us?! It's not like they had loads of top clubs (Or even mediocre ones) lining up for them was it?! Their careers wouldn't of lasted half as long in the top flight if it wasnt for the fact that they were local lads playing for us.

This post has essentially just proven my point

What's to say that when Ross gets old you won't be saying the same thing?

Loyalty to players exists for their whole career, not just their primes

Both of those players were decent Premier League players and they gave our club the entirety of their careers, and they were hounded and treated like crap for years by certain sections of the fan base. I'm sure there were periods for both of them where they could have moved. They could have potentially left to a lesser club who were preparing to pay them more. But they didn't

This is why players are mugs if they stick around for less because of loyalty, because when the time comes for us to show it back to them we rarely ever do

This is why an Evertonian like Ross would, and indeed probably should, consider leaving here for more money, even if it is to go and sit on a bench down south. Past examples suggest that when he gets older and his skills start to wane, we won't be there for him. So sod it, make your money now Ross whilst you still can

It's an uncomfortable truth that we have to accept. Again, we get the sport we deserve. Fans have no right claiming moral high ground in these situations, we're as much part of the problem
