Wanted him to stay all along, perhaps if he doesn't get any offers he'll rethink the contract?
I certainly hope so

Quotes pls, should be easy to find them. I've never seen anyone say he's as good as gerrard, lampard or scholes... only that he has potential to maybe reach that level which is a different claim altogether.
it will be a dutch auction till deadline day to call our bluff in keeping him as his price will only go lower!
This post has essentially just proven my point
What's to say that when Ross gets old you won't be saying the same thing?
Loyalty to players exists for their whole career, not just their primes
Both of those players were decent Premier League players and they gave our club the entirety of their careers, and they were hounded and treated like crap for years by certain sections of the fan base. I'm sure there were periods for both of them where they could have moved. They could have potentially left to a lesser club who were preparing to pay them more. But they didn't
This is why players are mugs if they stick around for less because of loyalty, because when the time comes for us to show it back to them we rarely ever do
This is why an Evertonian like Ross would, and indeed probably should, consider leaving here for more money, even if it is to go and sit on a bench down south. Past examples suggest that when he gets older and his skills start to wane, we won't be there for him. So sod it, make your money now Ross whilst you still can
It's an uncomfortable truth that we have to accept. Again, we get the sport we deserve. Fans have no right claiming moral high ground in these situations, we're as much part of the problem
So basically nobody wants him.
Phil Neville saying he is a 'top, top player who needs to be playing for a Champions League club'
Swerve it, Frankenstein.
Never hated an Everton player as much as Neville. Epitomises everything that has been wrong with the club under Kenwright.
"I didn't know if I wanted to score the penalty" - the Captain of our club, in post-match interview after FA Cup semi win against Man U. All the other players celebrating and he looked gutted. I think he went to miss, which is probably why he scored.
"A club like Everton... finishing 7th is like winning the league"
The man is a [Poor language removed] car crash. Talentless, horrible b*stard. Cannot understand any blue who doesn't despise him!
Nobody immediately needs him in their first team. They can afford to wait. He would be an amazing depth signing for any of the clubs above us.Or, more likely, clubs are prepared to run it until the end of August to get him cheaper.
No they weren't. On Internet forums and social media maybe, but look how many people attended Hibbert's testimonial and went mad when he scored. That doesn't smack of a player that was "mistreated" to me. Hibbert was average as hell, but you could tell he was made up to be playing for Everton and genuinely loved it.
