Barkley is richer than any of those supposedly Liverpool gangsters put together...they are no gangsters but attention seakers. If he is going it will be because he wants to go.
Maybe he feels he couldn't relax for having to look over his shoulder constantly. I'm purely speculating but I think there's more to this than meets the eye.

Now that Sidgurdson is in, surely he must be thinking that there is a lot of competition in midfield.

Klaasen, Scheiderlin, Gueye, Sidgurdson, Davies, Besiç and McCarthy.

As much as I'd like him to stay because he's a boyhood blue, his chances of starting have got slimmer this summer. Sidgurdson looks like a direct replacement.

But is that competition any different to Spurs or Chelsea? I would probably think not. It's the nature of playing in the best league in the world.

Not at all. How can Barkley possibly worth £50m with 1 year left on his contract when we got Wanyama for £10m with 1 year left on his contract last summer.

Inflation has been massive in football over the last 12 months and Barkley is a better and more attacking player than Wanyama.

If you think walker is worth more than Barkley and his value is commensurate with Wanyama you've lost the plot mate. That is one of the most ridiculous opinions I've heard re football if true.

He's not getting sold injured. He will see his year left on contract if he doesn't sign.
someone might take a punt on him but he won't pass a medical if the reports of his injury are true. I still have a gut feeling City will take chance on him. 30m is petty cash to them and they'll be getting a homegrown player for their quota who has the potential to great on his day. If he doesn't produce they'll sell him next year and easily make their money back.
You never know though, he may stay and something might click and he sudden signs a new deal - stranger things have happened but the likelyhood is if he isn't sold this summer he'll be gone in January for a serious cut price most likely to Spurs.
