I can't help thinking it's Tottenham he wants not Chelsea, and that he's prepared to wait until January for the fee to plummet because Levy's too stingy to hand over £30m+ now

Just don't see him signing any kind of contract for us mate. He deffo wants out on his term and his terms alone. Agent definitely influencing him too. Sadly for us, it seems the collapsed deal impacted on our funding of striker. £35m gone at tip of a hat. Thanks Ross.

If that's true, he agreed them this evening with Chelsea.

Not only has this tit torpedoed our summer window, he'll probably do it again in January.
Still people begging him to stay.

Because January the club would still be able to command a fee for him, make no mistake the club will put massive pressure on him to leave from this point forward.

IF Barkley wanted out he would now be a Chelsea player, IF he wanted to leave on a free then he simply turns down the contract via his agent and this wouldn't even be a story as such, same way McManaman did or Lewandowski did.

What happened today was a player who doesn't really want to leave and the club trying to push him out the door as hard as it could in order to get the best fee they could do.

I got the feeling by how Moshiri mentioned that his position is very congested that we never planned for him to stay because all the players he mentioned we brought in this window. To me he almost seemed disappointed it never went through.

I'm sure we will see over the next week or so if he signs a new deal. What iv said above implies we've been trying to show him the door but he's had the offer of a very good contract on the table to him for some time. It's such a strange and difficult situation to read

what time for the first "Once a Blue" graffiti on the Bullens?*

Go ask Wayne about it soft lad!!

* The Everton equivalent of "bullets in the post"

Moshiri's word said "deal in January" not coming back to stay with us.

Cheers Tubes. But is the option I mentioned about spurs only agreeing to go for him in January not another option for that list? Pulls out last minute of a deal he wasnt totally sure on, and decided to hold off for the possible Spurs bid in Jan?

Tubs gave two options, so assume the situation fits into this: then backed away to run his contract down

Happy for @Tubey to confirm like, just my reading of the posts.

He wants to review his position in January mate what more is there to say.

So Moshiri says.

This time last ŷear he was telling porkies as to why the Sissoko move (thankfully ;)) fell through and was bigging up phantom bids for Koubally.

No sir, when Moshiri and Whitey get together they say more than their prayers.

This makes sense. If you wanted out and the champions come calling & they're light in midfield surely you go?!
