Unless he signs a new deal (never say never – unless of course you’re talking about us signing a striker) the boy will leave absolutely despised by Evertonians. He may as well sign for that lot across the park as won’t make it any worse. And to be honest I shouldn’t even call him a boy anymore He’s 23. His age can’t be blamed for his stupid actions. At his age I had moved from my home to a new city, worked hard, paid my bills and took full responsibility for every mistake I made and I did it without a footballers ridiculous salary.

Hopefully he’s back from injury early enough to contribute to the u23’s attempt to retain the title.

Agree with this, no access to facilities other than obligated, medical perhaps for rehab, but no training, no kit, not even a shower.

Withdraw contract offer immediately, don't sell in January, no access to football until his contract runs out, absolutely no chance of a place at the world cup.

Above all else, don't let this situation happen again, very amateurish.

100% this. Sends a message that you do not mess with us, whoever you are. The lad has made his bed this summer, deal with the consequences.

You just know Spurs fans will be singing at the next match

'We've got a diamond called Ross Barkley, a yiddo that sacked off Chelsea, he does handshakes with Kane and Alli, together for Tottenham Hotspur FC....'

If he ends up going spurs he's been tapped up ! id be pretty certain of that and it could cost Everton millions ! if that does happen hope it gets looked into !

I want what's best for Everton not what's best for Ross Barkley. We stuck by him through the double leg break. He could have and should have become a club legend. It's not the same as when Rooney left we were crap then and he needed to go for us and for him. Everton are close to where we want to be. He could have been part of that. Rooney sees it why doesn't Ross.

Your thinking about it from a fans point of view though. From his point of view he believes it's the best move for his career to do what he has. Personally I don't think it is but you can't say until a few years down the line. Yes it would be nice if he came through and made himself a legend but sadly it isn't meant to be. Also on Rooney, I personally think he only came back because he wasn't good enough for United, nothing to do with the direction we are heading.

You are probably on the money here but proving it will be nigh on impossible I would have thought.
