Because he would not sign a new contract and there were no offers for him during the summer.

I think it is clear he wants to go to Spurs. He should be fit around December and thinks that he will move to Spurs in January and still get a chance to go to the world cup...I think he may be wrong.

The most disappointing part of this is the club losing out on 35m.

I wouldn't even let him do that. He'd be a shocking influence on them. The last thing they need is such an immature, indecisive and idiotc player who hasn't improved much since he was an under 23 player himself among them, taking away the chance of a young lad who actually wants to play for us.

Seamus is an unfair example tho in that he isn't a modern football. He's a humble lad who knows what side his bread is buttered on and genuinely is grateful to the club for helping him live out his dream.

Barkley is a snake who has shafted the club he claimed to have grown up supporting. Pathetic, arrogant, ungrateful, disrespectful tosser who isn't worthy to mentioned in the same breath as Coleman or Baines etc.
