He wanted 150k , we didn't want to offer that. He didn't say he didn't want to play for koeman , it was money.
Koemans criticism was to improve him , it did and he played. It wasn't as if koeman forced him in to the reserves.
So I don't but your view tbh bungle mate.
Tbh only Barkley knows and he isn't doing anything honourable, like saying to the fans what his intentions are.

If it was money, he would have signed for Chelsea.

Spurs will pay way less than Chelsea.

You have to admire he is putting his career before money.

We have tried to bully this move through but him and his agent have stood strong.

It's an emotive subject and you're quite angry and not thinking straight, let's leave it.
lol. Sorry mate I'm just not going to start taking pity on a bloke who gets paid more in a week than most earn in a year to do something normal people do for fun and for a club he professes to love.

True role models. I admire their strength of character in what must be a very difficult time for young Ross what with all the kicking footballs around, lads holidays and smashing birds in. He can sign a precontract in January and move for free next summer yeah?

You seem awfully concerned about how much he gets paid. I don't get it, it's not his fault wages are stupid, every one of us would love to be earning that amount but we aren't good enough at football, are you jealous?

I enjoy a kick about in the park but I don't remember the last time 40,000 people turned up to watch me, nor did I feel any pressure to perform. You can't just say that he deserves no pity because he does something the rest of us find fun, I'm fairly sure at the level he's playing at it's a highly pressured and stressful environment. We don't know what's gone on behind closed doors and to berate him for something we don't know the full facts about seems a little off.

He seems a bit lost at the moment and probably needs a few friendly faces around him and people that can give him the right advice, sadly I think those people are lacking and have been lacking for a while and that's why he's found himself in the position he has. I have every sympathy for him.

Of course I am. He's got the best "job" in the world, gets paid millions of pounds, lives the dream, is a scouse blue playing for everton. Would you not love to be in his position? If I were in his position or any evertonian I know personally were in his position the contact would have been signed long ago.

There's a massive detachment of what football actually is and these blokes who play it running round kissing badges but want to leave 5 minutes later for money and a quick ride to success. It's sad. I'm definitely falling out of love with what top flight football is.

Ross Barkley, hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

WTF, is going on in this lads head?

If he really does want to go to Spurs and sit on their bench and earn a cupla quid more than staying here then that's his decision and i can live with that.
The days of footballers staying 15 years with their boyhood team are well and truly over, we all know that.

But why on earth you agree terms with Chelsea and agree to a medical, if you have no intention of going there, really does defeat me altogether.

He is not only making himself and our club look fairly amateurish, he has possibly ruined any chance of successfully negotiating any future transfers with Chelsea.

Lets face it, if you had agreed to buy something, made all the arrangements, then have the rug pulled from beneath you, would you be back for more?

Ross needs to stop believing all the hype about how good he COULD be and go out and prove how good he is. Whether thats here or not is up to Ross

Definitely agree with the last part, contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on, I suppose Ross could sign a contract and at least we get some money in Jan but I'm not sure what the state of play is so it's hard to make a judgement. Still no need for all the abuse though, very uncouth.

He's a hero really, someone should make a banner. :hayee:

Who wants to keep him after yesterday? He has no love for the club and will be sold on the cheap in January but we should have no regrets. Let us move on with the squad that wants to play for Everton and build on it come in January if we need to. After all he is no star
