I enjoy a kick about in the park but I don't remember the last time 40,000 people turned up to watch me, nor did I feel any pressure to perform. You can't just say that he deserves no pity because he does something the rest of us find fun, I'm fairly sure at the level he's playing at it's a highly pressured and stressful environment. We don't know what's gone on behind closed doors and to berate him for something we don't know the full facts about seems a little off.

He seems a bit lost at the moment and probably needs a few friendly faces around him and people that can give him the right advice, sadly I think those people are lacking and have been lacking for a while and that's why he's found himself in the position he has. I have every sympathy for him.

Indeed point taken. However, he does have to take some responsibility of the situation he now finds himself, I know much is the product of being thoroughly spoilt football talent as many are, but he is now 5 years in being an adult and I believe we are seeing he has surrounded himself with people who just say yes to him.

Ronald is the teflon man innit.

Everton is in a state of disarray this morning.

Walsh and Uncle Billy being held responsible for yesterday's DD shambles.

Crystal Palace being ridiculed for not paying Omar's agent.

Mirallas, Joel and Jimmy Mac....all surplus to requirements yet still here this morning.

Ross is the pantomime villain's pantomime villain.

And to top it all the only player to have scored for us in three EPL games is allegedly caught drink driving.

And as all of this plays out, our figurehead and public face of Everton FC, Big Ronkoe, is playing golf down t' Algarve

You could not make it up ;)

It is days like these make me love Everton all the more.....I really mean that :pint2:

That sounds like a club in disarray to me!

Oh dear, thought I was reading a Mills and Boon novel there Bungle, I was filling up, lol, are you on a wind up ? If not please have a lie down. I bet after reading that guff, Ross is even now getting in touch with the Human Rights commission, what a nasty club we are giving him the opportunity, which he wanted, to leave his boyhood club and having the Damn nerve to try and sell him to the current champions of England ! I'm sure even now thousands of Everton supporters are up in arms and are marching on Ross's behalf to Finch Farm, pitch forks in hand, petitions at the ready to burn it down and vent their spleens, all with their Ross Barkley number 8 shirts on. lol:bye:lol. Still love you Bungle ;)

seems to be a lot of ITK'S all of a sudden !!, Has Ross said anything to anyone yet ??. He's 23 years old , a very young man with huge pressure coming from all sides, the fans included.
what about if Everton were trying to force the sale through, and Ross went to find out about the club and meet their agents for the first time, didn't like it there so declined. Is he wrong in doing that, is he wrong to commit to a club he didn't want to represent ??.
like I wrote, he's 23 years old, he's going to make mistakes and he's going to get things right, don't think we, as a fan base have a right to judge him without the proper facts.

Oh yes he is, in the club's perspective. Say he goes in January how much does it cost the club? £20m? Any he was not signing a new deal initially, he should worth £45m in todays market if he is not running down his contract.

Yeah reconsidering his position in January...by Jan he would say he is reconsidering his position at the end of season...then leave on a free when we don't bladge in Jan. This is the script.

You may joke but I hope that's an option he is giving serious consideration, bullying in the work place is a very real issue.

Hope someone wraps a 9 iron round his head for wasting what little money we had available.

Everton were right to try to force the sale through as Barkley refused to sign a contract that has been on the table for months.
'Is he wrong in doing that, is he wrong to commit to a club he didn't want to represent ??.' - Well tell me who he wants to represent??
If the answer isn't Everton then 'poor' Ross needs to make this clear to the fans presurising him where his loyalties lie

Trying to keep a pragmatic mind about it but when you watch Moshiri's phone call on SSN last night it's clear he (or the club) aren't too happy with how this worked out.

Suppose I wouldn't be if £35m of my own money had just been toyed with.

The optimist in me would love to see a talented young lad turn it around and do it in royal blue but all signs now point to a January exit which would benefit Barkley and his agent, and penalise Everton.

I support Everton not Ross Barkley so that's not too good. Hope to proven wrong.
