I don't get why the lad is taking so much hate when it's Everton that wouldn't open negotiations with us... I'm pretty baffled by the situation tbh. We would have gone to £30m.

I'm still pretty sure that Chelsea persuaded Everton not to negotiate with us to get back at us for our Aurier deal.

There is no reason at all for us to refuse to deal with you.

Its been reported by a few local journos that you didnt even bid, which when you think about it makes sense. Levy is not going to bid £30 mill (which is the going rate for English players with 1 year left - see Michael Keane, AOC) on a player who will be out until the January window anyway, knowing full well that his price will supposedly decrease.

Spurs fans having a go at Everton for calling us greedy, saying we should have took £20mill etc. When Andre Grey, with a year left on his contract goes for £18.5mill, followed by the 2 mentioned above, it wasnt greed at all, it was a very realistic price in todays crazy market.

Let's not forget the 54 million they got for a right back or 42 million in a centre back they bought following a good season.

I can imagine we wouldn't deal with Levy out of principle.

No evidence at all that you made any sort of bid, and knowing Levy he wouldn't have.

Never in my life have I ever thought about booing an Everton player, but the fact that he's let his agent take over his twitter account and act like everything is ok, shows the lad that he is. It's embarrassing for both club and player. Do me a favour Ross and just F off! The lad's taking the piss out of us just to get a better deal for himself.

Doubt if any bid was forthcoming - I remember him taking pienaar for free from us under similar circumstances. And then selling him back to us for an inflated price.

There wasn't a bid... the reports that came out were that Everton wouldn't let us bid. Did you read my posts?

Spurs have clearly tapped the lad up over a long period, and spurs being the snide, underhand negotiators they are, have smelt a bargain. And they've decided to gamble on waiting and getting him on a free. Everton tried to fight back against your illegal approaches by selling him for good money to Chelsea, but unfortunately Levy has won. That's what has happened here. So maybe yes there were no official bids. But that's all part of the Levy plan. No bids. A free transfer.

Ross should adopt the brace position when he lines out at Goodison in a white shirt.

Why would Ross go along with something underhanded? He has all the power in his hands.

He didn't want to go to Chelsea because he felt the choice was being dictated to him due to Everton refusing to enter negotiations with us.

Everton can't stop you bidding though can they mate? I'm not sure why they would preclude you from bidding. I'd also be very surprised if you would want to bid 35 million pounds for a lad who's injured until December.
