2017/18 Ross Barkley

"Berkeley" eh?About right. I expect him to move in January after his agent tweeting considering his options in that window. He's made a mess of this move.

Koeman called him out last season, when he played crap he told him, when he played crap a few games on the bounce he dropped him, and rightly so, superb management of the team.

Barkley has seen his arse big time, he's weak between the ears, managers and players fall out, it happens, but Barkley should remember all the support he's had from this club over the years and not do over those who have helped get him to where he is.

I think it's unbelievable what he's doing, disgraceful, considering he's one of us.
Indeed. Only recently backed up again by the club over that terrible 'newspaper' racially slurring him. Absolute shameless sneak.

Exactly. Spurs players get between £40k & £110k per week. For argument sake lets assume Barkley would be paid £80k pw. At Chelsea he would earn at least £125kpw (probably more). Over the course of a 5 year contract he would earn £11.7mn less in wages. Even if Spurs paid him a £5mn signing on fee (we wouldn't) he is still £6.7mn worse off.

So while i can understand the frustration of EFC fans regarding missing out on a nice transfer fee (would rankle me in the same situation) accusations of being a 'money grabber' are wide of the mark (IMO).

It may well not be about wages, but your club's underhand tapping up has done us out of at least 30m quid.

So according to the utter wrong'un Joey Barton, Mr Conte decided to blank all calls from the rat and his representatives.

This obviously sent Ross into a tailspin, the lip started going and the eyes glazed before filling up. "Why isn't he answering by calls" he blubbered before throwing his favourite blanket out of the window

I'm sure he's receiving counselling for this traumatic experience.

Don't you just love spell check! Odd how some times it spells the word incorrectly but with oh so much more relevance
Hah. Once dated a girl called Amy, took her phone number and name down in my phone, predictive text came up with cow instead of Amy, we both laughed. Turns out quite quickly she was one. Predictive text, the clue was there for me.

Until proven otherwise i would suggest at this stage it is 'alleged' tapping up. Levy will do what is best for THFC & if that means hanging Barkley out to dry in January, he will do it. His advisers should have reminded him the a Chelsea contract in the hand is worth two Tottenham contracts in the bush.

It's Steven Pienaar all over again. You must be quite deluded to not see Spurs are the reason he was talked out of going to Chelsea.

May had had talks with him last summer mate.

I remember Koeman coming out in the middle of December 2016 after being asked about Barkley's (he had 18 months left) contract, he said "It is not the priority at the moment but in the new year, yes."
Shouldn't she be spending her time sorting out our Brexit strategy?

Levy and THFC responsibility is to THFC I don't understand why anyone would think any different . Leeds united were fairly critical of Everton for signing Beckford on a free , I don't recall any outrage amongst blues and rightly so .
