We really are a shambles i said it last season.

We were busy leaking lukakus £140k wage offer to our pet journos Andy hunter, Paul Joyce thinking we were big time when he could get a lot more elsewhere & we were prepared to pay Rooney £150k a week & siggurdson out NFL kicker a bit less.

Barkley was offered dependant upon what we believe a fair bit less than all of these & similar to Morgan Schneiderlin &'still he have people calling him a rat.

Open your eyes

..I really doubt that. He’s a great age for a Bosman (or a January move). I understand young Barkley knows the value of a £, there’s a very lucrative pay day around the corner as well as the potential of an attractive playing proposition. I might be wrong but I don’t get the romanticism of the boyhood blue.

I’d like him to re-sign but I think his mind is very much made up.

Sadly, I think this is the reality of the situation.

Ross may well gave had a poor relationship with Koeman, which hasn't helped, but if we'd have been in the Champions League this season then I'm pretty damned sure he'd have signed a contract.

His career will be short and the lure of playing at a more successful club, coupled with the financial rewards of signing on a Bosman, or a near-Bosman is likely to trump the emotional attachment to his own club, and it's hard to criticise the lad for that.

Isn't going to stay. Why would he? Club is a shambles and he could move to a champs league team where the fans won't boo him.
Why would he ? Lots of reasons.

Yes, the team is in a mess at the moment but that will resolve itself with a new manager and the return of Coleman, McCarthy and Bolasie. There is a lot of talent in that squad albeit the squad does lack balance. It is not that many weeks ago when there was nothing but positivity about the club and that can come back quite quickly.

Ross will almost definitely go to Spurs and is far from certain of being a certain success there or even a regular starter.
At Everton he would under a new manager have the chance to rebuild a career in front of him home crowd and moneywise will do at least as well at Everton.

Nail on the head.

If, and that's a very big if, his wanting away was down to Fathead, you'd think that would have found its way into the public domain by now. The silence is deafening.

The rat is abandoning ship.
As rats do.

..I don’t know his reason for leaving but I think he is leaving. I don’t think he’s a rat, Tom, it’s just the way it is.

Never heard one fan boo him, give him crap yeah, but if he can’t take a bit of stick then he shouldn’t be a pro footballer

Without being sarcastic, don't you think it's weird that 'supporters' should 'give him crap', if he misplaces a pass or whatever?
