Without being sarcastic, don't you think it's weird that 'supporters' should 'give him crap', if he misplaces a pass or whatever?
Almost every player has been given “crap” at one point or other, its about how you react and he hides.

Disagree with you mate, he's the one who would still look for the ball.
Not having a go at you personally but, I don't get the 'it's ok to give stick' to a player.
Going back to when we used to win stuff, Peter Reid (who had been integral to us winning things, was suddenly crap and was getting stick from the boo-boys, because we stopped winning and he was sold), didn't work out well for him or us.
If I was good enough to play for us, I can't imagine that anyone shouting abuse at me, would make me play better?
I just don't get it.

wrong, he continues to want the ball, and run games, gylfi hides, have a look at the total touches stats and tell me ross hides, you cleft
don’t do fm didn’t praise gylfi either, just saying players should expect a groan or two when they balls up it goes with the turf, and less of the name calling or I’ll go to spurs

One thing for sure.

Ross must not be allowed to leave in January....even if it does mean we miss out on the cut price fee we would receive for him and he goes for free in the summer.
If he is leaving the club should tell him to sign a new deal and then allow him to leave in the summer anyway. The least he can do is stay & try to prevent relegation.

Obviously we can keep him anyway however the toxicity that surrounds him from some of our so called fans would intensify & make it almost impossible for him to play.

..I think that’s a fair point. It might be all hands to the pump, even recalling 2 or 3 loanees (Dowell, Williams, Onyekuru). The consideration with Barkley, though, is whether a new manager will play him. More specifically, I think Allardyce has gone on record as not being his biggest fan. Remember, Allardyce and Moyes are kindred spirits and I doubt either will put their trust in Barkley if it comes to us scrapping for points.

I think once Ross is fit and playing again, he will sign a new contract.

Today’s game let’s get behind the boys and also sing his song, LOUD AND PROUD

WE GOT A DIAMOND.......

It becomes as much about perception as well, we sell him in January then people saying we wanted the money are correct, we let him see out the contract whilst turning down a new one then people slating the player can do so fine imo

Does anyone blame any Everton player for wanting out to better their career and bank balance?

We complain we are a shambles but expect player's to stick around when they have better offers?

Barkley has been a big miss because as has been mentioned, no matter what he always wanted the ball and to make things happen. He'd keep the ball up the pitch and we miss that. I'd love to see Barkley and Rooney together from January onwards and when he leaves for Spurs, good luck to him.

I think the toxicity has largely dissipated in the wake of Koeman’s departure, Simon.

It was very noticeable in the pubs and town square in Lyon.....the Ross Barkley song was the most heard song and the one most lustily sang ;)

Any negative reaction would just be drowned out by the vast majority of fans IMO.

Fantastic reason not to appoint him poor judge of player.

Personally if I see an individual with that much talent & I think I'm a top coach I'd be thinking I'm going make this lad one of the best players in the league.

These muppets instead think I'm not sure I can get him to cover the full back if he loses the ball on an overlap.

Utter madness

But his agent tells him not to sign and he leaves on a free in the summer then recieving a huge signing on fee from his new club.
