No one said anything about his personal life. That was moutsgoat presuming I was talking about his social life when in fact I was talking about his season at the club from an individual/personal perspective.

To say that so long as the teams winning you should be happy is idiotic. The guy got called out in the press by the manager, dropped for several games, lost his place in the England side, was pretty much in tears sat on the bench...

But yeh cheer up Ross, doesn’t matter about that stuff, Everton finished 7th. BOSS

Lol
His personal life has more to do with his wanting to leave than merely footballing reasons... as you would know if you lived in the city..not a jib at you at all but there are other relevant factors involved in his decision.

Its pretty simple, he had his worst season last year from an individual perspective, prior to that he had also been stagnating... usually when people stagnate at jobs they look for a new one.

Amazing that people can’t get their heads around such a simple concept.

Yeah, some people choose the easy way out.

But others, if they care for the company they work for, they fight, they show their value to the company, they STRIVE to make their company a success.

I’m sure there are other factors but none of them are confirmed or proveable whereas it’s very easy to make a case for why he would be wanting to leave Everton for footballing reasons, even last season.

Why would that be the easy way out ? He could easily just stay in his comfort zone and take the huge contract and be loved by his own fans. that to me is a lot easier than moving away from where you’ve lived your entire life and going and working for a bigger company whilst competing and testing yourself at a higher level. Plus moving away will make him a hate figure at Everton...

Its definitely easier to stay at Everton imo

It’s a myth that getting a new job is the easy way out. No honestly his life will be MUCH easier the day he leaves this club.

By "working" I assume you mean warming a bench?
