Truth is no one has a clue about that side of things apart from Barkley and those close to him. What can be proven though is that he has stagnated at Everton from a football perspective.

With regard to Spurs, they are vastly more likely to win something than we are, plus they play in champs league and near enough all their English players get picked for England. It’s very easy to see why they an attractive option for him.... all you need to do is take the blue goggles off for a second.

I think it’s safe to say just about every player in the world would pick them over us at the moment.

..Errr when did spuds last win the league title? All their English players get picked for England? Not going to win anything there are they ? Champs league? you are having an absolute laugh. Sorry there are people who actually DO have a clue about "that side of things" You really don't like EFC do you ? Sorry but that is what comes across to me.
 
...notice Allardyce comfortably swerved the obligatory Barkley questions today, saying he hadn’t spoken with him but would have a one-to-one with all the players. I can’t see Allardyce being anything but straight talking. I simply can’t see Barkley signing a contract, it’ll be a case of whether Allardyce uses him or cashes in.

Think sadly it will be the cashing in bit Eggs...but what do I know?

If that's what he's planning to do he'd have not played any football all season -- would any decent side still be wanting to pay big bucks as a salary for him? It would be a massive risk for anyone.

..I suppose that depends on whether Everton use him once he’s fit. He’ll still be getting paid, he’ll be available for selection.

If FSA thinks he can get a tune out of Ross he’ll keep him till the summer.
He’s obviously been promised a budget , knows what he needs and is happy to carry on
There are other players that can be sold that will not affect the squad as much as losing Ross will
FSA is here to do a job and doesn’t care for Everton’s long term ambitions. so if keeping Ross suits him he won’t sanction his sale and will keep him till the summer and then he will walk on a free

I think. sadly, he's been forced to the door and there's no will to persuade him back from going through it.

I expect his fee is factored into the new manager's kitty for January.

What a shambles. I dont know of any other club like this that loses its very best so regularly, either by pushing them away or being cherry picked.

...yep, if Everton or Barkley want to see out the contract there’s little the other can do. I think much depends on Everton’s situation and who Allardyce wants to sign in the window. I recall Allardyce not being complimentary about Barkley in the past and I don’t think he selected him for that one England team he managed.

So your arguement is he should stay at Everton unless he can win the league title elsewhere ? Loooool. They won a trophy more recently than us and look far more likely to win trophies in the future.

Majority of their English players do indeed get picked for England

They are indeed playing in champs league, tonked Real Madrid 3-1 the other week and topped their group. Playing in champs league is kinda of a big deal to players in case you hadn’t noticed...

But somehow I’m having a laugh for stating actual facts ? Deary me, you’ve had an absolute mare yet again. What is your actual point here ? You have none, you just did a textbook kneejerk because you couldn’t handle the thought of Spurs being more of a pull than Everton.
