Because signing Barkley for £15m is basically free money. No matter what happens, if he's on a decent contract his value will always be at least £30m unless he becomes a crock.

I dont think you’ve understood the point I was making. Why would they have spent £35m on an injured player who can’t play for them when they can get him much cheaper in a few months when hes over his injury and can actually play for them ?

Hopefully this gees on the players tonight to show him what he's leaving.

Appalling behaviour by him, his agent, and probably Koeman for his unreasonable calling and the board for not sorting it sooner.

But this is 80% on Barkley and his agents, any fan who blames other fans is a bad bad idiot tbh.

The clubs turned the little braindead beaut into a multimillionaire and stood by him through potential career ending injuries and he still shafted us good and proper, evertonian my ass.

I for one will be very bitter about it and wish him career of recurring hamstring issues before eventually ending up at the Everton scrapyard known as Sunderland

He didn't have a long term injury during the summer when they bid 35m

but they were stupidly willing to do it in jan, it was his u-turn. Maybe they didn't know the extent of the injury. I think they must have been the only team interested, otherwise why would we deal with them again?

I find it very odd that we paid for all his medical bills and wages for a half a year, only to let him go to the exact same team for £20m less a few months later.

He stayed because he wants Spurs not Chelsea, as soon as they come in he will be gone.
Ross has been practising his "finger moves" so that he will fit in with the rest of the Spurs lads.

Not sure Spurs want him anymore. It’s looking like Chelsea are front runners. Either way he’s stayed to command better wages.

Not just that they 'didn't hear it', they didn't hear it because it didn't happen.

As opposed to someone who watched the game on a blag 'feed' (stream) who claimed it did.

Have you never claimed 'I was at the game and....' to substantiate your opinion Mikey?

Anyways, Barkley, good player, not going to be a good Everton player for much longer. Sad.

Yes mate

Someone was saying DCL was playing Right Back once when he clearly wasn't, so I pulled the "I was at the game" rabbit out of the hat in order to correct them

There's probably other examples of me doing it as well

I've also had to be corrected sometimes as well by people watching on telly, because they've seen something from a replay that I haven't from my seat, so we've both seen the same situation differently

Basically, whether you're watching it at home or you're in attendance, you never truly get the full story

£2m more than what swansea spent on clucas. Should have held out for £20m imo, ah well, i was worried yesterday he'd be leaving on a free, so at least that's an extra £15m to the budget. Hope £15m wasn't making up the £75m budget for this window.
