The silence is what is upsetting mate. Silence gets filled with chatter. Only Ross and his advisors can sort that out.
The club have given the facts of the position and been crucified for it. Ross will end up being public enemy number one if he goes like this.
We can all understand people needing to go to different employers for all sorts of reasons, but to run your contract down and ignore your fans throughout is really disheartening.

He's been professional not speaking out. Is it his job to leak news about his contract talks to the media as the club have done?

He's behaved admirably. Kept schtum and allowed no one to twist his words...which IS what would have happened.

Maybe. Probably not. We do know though that Barkley has kept his own counsel...wisely. Any offering would, as stated, have been misinterpreted and twisted against him.

the top six have not let many young assets go have they unless it very big money - they look to strengthen their squads with class not the likes of third choice right backs from a club below us!
Our youth set up has shown we have great youth players in position as DCL proved last night - lets see if this master plan works?????????????

If Ross wanted to stay he could have said it. Or his agent could have given out positive noises. (Even if he didn't want to stay he could have let his agent make positive noises to ease the media pressure). That is not the case and the silence tells its own story.
Whatever his reason, he is going. Live with it.

Same old same old mate.

Many players deserve vilification (the Barmby's and Lescotts) but others like Barkley are victims here. They are positioned as the villains and fed to the wolves. The manager doesn't want him. It's as plain as a pikestaff since day one that he didn't. We trace Barkley's departure from there. Anyone who cant accept that is just acting like a jilted lover.

I am in no way a jilted lover lol I have said I don't like Barkley long before all this shenanigans started

He was a really bright prospect in the first season under Martinez. He dipped after that and I think Roy hodgson had a lot to answer for, singling him out for decision making when he was one of the brightest talents in the team.
After that his performances dropped off.
He certainly improved last year, but Southgate carried on wher Roy left off.
I can't help that the position we are in is as much to do with his England career and going to the World Cup. If he moves to Spurs for a big fee, the press will kick up a huge fuss if he isnt selected.

it did not sound right as there is no justification by our club to let a 23 year FORMER England international old contract run into its last year - Lukaku's was not let to run down - explain that one away?
If our board never tried last year what has been going on ?
Even before RK came it should have been sorted out!
