That is more like it , but our board were in prime position to lengthen Ross B contact last year before RK arrived!

The only thing to criticise the board is they shall tie the deal up last summer because we will lose about £15m because Barkley has a year left in his contract now.

As to Lukaku and Barkley, they both don't want to be here so I honestly can't see a new contract would make a difference. Of course a longer deal with Barkley will get the club more fee.

He couldn't come straight in and sell Barkley and Stones in one window. How would that have looked?

You said the club won't dare to sell both Lukaku and Barkley in one window. Well looks like they will and proved you wrong.

I guess most people don't care about Stones. He is overrated by you. A defender who can't defend. Even you said you would play him in DM.

How do we know he was not offered one and he declined and the club kept it quiet to try and convince him to stay,as much as I would like him to stay he doesn't want to.He want to leave his boyhood club, the club he says he supports,by the way I can't remember who he scored against but did he not kiss his badge and run into the St end and then a couple of months later he wants to go.

The Dutchman will feel in a stronger position to do that having got a season under his belt and had that time to light a long fuse on Barkley to position him as the perpetrator of a move.
Barkley has refused a contract dave, if he was sold how can that be anyone but Barkleys fault?

This is true.

That's why I won't care less if he goes because he doesn't want to be here for whatever reason.

Into the void comes rumour and speculation.

I could understand all the stick aimed at Barkley if he had come out in the media having a pop the club, Koeman etc, but he hasn't opened his mouth once (maybe he should have come out and give some sort of interview on the situation) also, at the end of the day we haven't got one iota of what's going on behind closed doors, maybe him and Koeman don't get on, and the relationship has become that strained between the two of them that there is no going back, and Barkley feels that he needs to move on for the best.

Or he just wants out.

And you could easily be right Paul, like I could easily be right about there being a major falling out.
As you say could be either way but why hasn't Ross come out and said something, the management has,why not put your thoughts out there for the Everton fans,I would not give the lad stick if he says it's a football thing but I think he needs to say something Lou.

The silence is what is upsetting mate. Silence gets filled with chatter. Only Ross and his advisors can sort that out.
The club have given the facts of the position and been crucified for it. Ross will end up being public enemy number one if he goes like this.
We can all understand people needing to go to different employers for all sorts of reasons, but to run your contract down and ignore your fans throughout is really disheartening.
