No, I mentioned the word luck. Luck has nothing to do with bias.
England getting given penalties for blatant fouls can not be luck though.

I have no problem with it. I hate how soft the sport has become. You'd think every player just shattered their ankle with how they react when they go down. They won’t though. It’s been like it in South American football forever and ever.
Ask the American lads on here I’m sure they’ve seen it when USA has played these guys.
To be honest I quite like it. Went a bit too far last night but it was their best tactic of roughing up a young England team and it nearly worked.
I’d love Everton to do the same when we play the bigger teams.
Nice to see England not bottling a match. For that reason alone I wish them all the bestFFS am I one of the few that wanted and enjoyed the ENGLAND victory. Pleased for ENGLAND please for Jordan Pickford. I actually want us to do well yet I am feeling guilty that I am not moaning. Get behind ENGLAND and enjoy the ride................unless your a foriegner who depises ENGLAND yet supports an English team
Are you suggesting referees have a pro-England bias? Because that's pretty weird.
The luck argument doesn't wash anymore with VAR. Teams have been given penalties left right and centre at this world cup, the referees are looking at everything. No other player has been manhandled like Kane has this tournament, it's a joke and the only way to stamp it out is to keep giving penalties.

I'm Croatian so, yeahFor Croatia
First time I've sat down and watched England for the full game - some real quality there but the midfield is a state. Lingard, Henderson, Alli, and Young? Surely you are joking Mr Southgate. Ross really did pick a bad time to stop being a footballer.
Actually can't argue with Henderson or Young turning in pedestrian performances because what can you expect - it's not their level. Alli is an aggravating player to watch, though - don't know if it's the formation or if he really is just a flat-track bully in the prem, but he's offering nothing that I've seen.
Shelvey was the only selection he missed out on imo - oh and that Harry Maguire I hinted we should bid the asking price of 14m from Hull as a centre back got shot don in pelters on here........This. What was painfully obvious last night was the total lack of creativity in central midfield. The kind of player who can open up a defence with one pass. Sadly, Wilshire was out of commission; Shelvey appears to be anathema to any England Manager, and Barkley's career path has screwed him over good-style. We were left last night with the most creative player in midfield being Maguire (yes I know he's a defender, but he looked like the only player who could possibly create something ahead of him whenever he ventured into midfield and motored forward, which is a sad indictment of those who SHOULD have been doing that). And how that slack-jawed Geordie from the RS even made the squad in the first place is beyond me...
Been saying this since the squad was announced. Oh for an Erickson or Modric, you would see the best of Deli Alli then. As you said re Wilshire and Barkley, agreed. I wouldnt have Shelvey near the squad imo, they have a great team spirit and he would spoil that. If he had been on the pitch last night we would have been down to 10 men with the Colombian antics, hes a red card waiting to happen. About Henderson, sadly he is the best we have. In all fairness, he is doing ok, never going to set the world alight, but hes ok.This. What was painfully obvious last night was the total lack of creativity in central midfield. Only one winner between Criatia and England. That's where England's WC ends for sure.I'm Croatian so, yeah
Our midfield Vs England midfield, I see only one way it could go. We just have to smother the mouthbreather and it's done.
Gotta grind through Russia first tho, feck.
Yep. And England have had a lot of luck so far with their ten thousand penalties. Thankfully we all have faith in Kane to tuck each one away. England's penalty luck reminds me of Everton's pre-Christmas run of having penalties awarded to us. If any team with an efficient attack (unlike Colombia) is able to stifle Kane, they'll beat us. He did well last night in terms of playing for the team, but in an attacking sense he did nothing at all because their centre backs didn't let him play.

There is just a horrible element of self-hating people within the forum who have a petty loathing of England. Ignore them. The forum has been much more enjoyable since I put DaveK on my ignore list.
