I agree that he is quite 'dated' now but in the 70's he was a household name and popular as hell.
Almost all his act revolves around Rugby, Welsh or otherwise, but remember that during that period Wales ruled the world in that sport so he was on to a good thing.
The thing that's enduring about him is that he cant stop laughing when he get's near the punch-line, he also peppers his shows with songs so he is a bit of an all-rounder.
He has got a bit of a sad face mind you. :D

He was funny at one time mate, he did have a tv series, but when I saw him he was down the bill and a bit embarrassing, as I said sad

adams and mcguinness are still around, if the ira had folded then why are they still needed?

still get killings there and here, just because no one phones in a coded message doesnt mean they arent responsible.

so a few guns get handed in, plenty more where they came from, and the numerous high profile robberies means there is cash if need be.

Maybe, maybe not, but do you think if i had started a thread about Terrorism we would now be discussing the finer points of the humour of Bobby Davro ?

he used to front 'rapido' and davro renamed it 'crapido'

On one hand we have the muslim who is very much loyal to the Koran, but not extreme. So they don't want to kill people to make a stupid point.

But then we have the extreme muslim who wants to murder innocent people for a cause that has brainwashed him/her into believing they will be rewarded.

Problem is nobody knows who is extreme and who isn't. They don't even have to be from a muslim country originally.

I'm not racist, but I don't trust Muslim people, and I make no bones about it. I know muslims, I have worked with African and Iraqi people, they are Muslim, but it has taken me a while to get to know them and appreciate that they are not likely to strap a bomb to themselves and go and murder innocent people.

But even then, I can't be 100% sure that they are not. So what Roy has said maybe a little general, some terrorists are not Muslims, but I would say a very very high percentage of terrorists are Muslims. Its a scary world we live in, and naivity is going to get the better of us.

I have to say I find the chubby brown joke funny. (though I'm far from being totally comfortable with that)

As far as a high percentage of terrorist are muslims. That depends whether you consider governments, organising armies to drop cluster bombs on innocent villages - much of this ordnance failing to detonate. There it usually remains until some curious little muslim kid picks it up and plays with it, resulting in death or loss of limbs.

Or lazer guided missiles hitting hospitals/markets/civilian areas.

I think if a person's family burnt to death in one of these attacks, they could at least agree that it was terrifying and thus terrorism.

I imagine this will be seen as a warped point of view on this forum.

:D , just seem's strange that this thread is punctuated with posts about Max Boyce, Terrorism, Bob Monkhouse, Muslim's, Bobby Davro, the IRA and 'Chubby'.
