Don’t often see it on UK menus but dhal makhani is a gift from the Gods. As previously recommended, chana masala is awesome too, but if you don’t like pulses would suggest a dhansak, getting the pineapple in the middle is akin to getting the jam in a donut, or even catching the snitch. Heavenly.
No ‘steak, Peroni and woman’ option? 
Try a phaal, if you want near certain death by curry heat. My local had it down as spicy, dear God, spicy was the understatement of the millennium.
