@COYBL25 i thinkAny track runners in here?
@COYBL25 i think
My wife asked me to blow some balloons up the other day and it was a struggle to the point I really had to put some force into getting the balloon going.I’m still not good starting off - breathless and have to take it really slowly, especially on any early inclines, but once I’m warmed up, I feel much more comfortable than I did before
and my times have improved by 15-30 secs a mile over 6 - 10 miles.
I’ve also noticed, that a really mild burnt taste, which I think was coming from my manky lungs has gone too.
You an ex smoker?My wife asked me to blow some balloons up the other day and it was a struggle to the point I really had to put some force into getting the balloon going.
I think COVID has ruined my lungs, so I may actually go the doctors.
No, never, apart from the odd drunken one as a youth but I'm talking about one hand, however there was a lot more passive smoke when we were younger.You an ex smoker?

Love watching track, but I’m not in shape to race masters events.Off road only, hate track running lol
It's funny, I run most days, and have got a lot of my short speed back since I had covid. But my breathing often makes me want to stop. I've only noticed it since having covid. Pre covid I was running 60/70 miles a week, now, I'm lucky to get to 20, because I avoid anything above 3/4 miles due to my breathing.I did a lung function test with my GP and I’m way down on where U should be for my age - hence the breathlessness.
There‘s not a lot they can do, as they reason for long covid aren’t properly understood yet.
Mine gave me inhalers, which sort of made things better, but really dried my throat up. I only use them now, before a really big run.
It’s like you have asthma, but don’t, if that makes sense ?

Which is why I'm doing lots on the track currently and doing some sprinting as it's short and over with quickly.
Yeah just shows how dangerous this virus is. The ‘it’s just a mild flu’ numpties haven’t got a clue. Nearly every run I have been on since covid, my body is screaming to stop in the first couple of miles. Would hate to think how it’s effected life expectancy or quality of life in old age. I used to work with loads of people that had COPD and it used to freak me out the thought of getting it.It's funny, I run most days, and have got a lot of my short speed back since I had covid.
