Have you changed your shoes or started running longer distances / moved onto a different surface ?
No but was running everyday then have had a mate visit so have been boozing loads and not running. Read that might have caused it. Apparently just need to do plenty stretches. Just weird I’ve never had this before

I stretch for about a min or so before every run and about a min or so after, works for me

I have a mate who is into all the theory and he stretches for like 20 mins before and after, so boring running with him lol

Any recs for road running trainers lads? Using Ultraboost atm and really like them. Have had Asics Kayanos and Brooks GTS before. Found the Kayanos a bit heavy for my liking so prob go another pair of Ultraboost. But willing to look into some alts.

A lot of lads I know, who run on the roads swear by Hoka Cliftons ?

I run on the trail version - Challenger and I love them.

Like running with featherlite pillows on your feet.

Just been for a six mile jog up and down Yarmouth beach on my dinner break. Strong breeze propelled me North under the pier and up to the Haven park. Thought I’d try and beat my time heading back, but utterly misjudged the wind and I’ve just been sandblasted while hitting double figures for my time per mile. Back at my van with eyes stinging rather deflated. That was hard.

Race number four of the year :

Lakeland Trails Ambleside half marathon ( turned out to be 15 miles ! )

A tough one in the nutty heat, as you climbed high up into the fells. Ended up filling my water bottle up in streams, it was that hot. ( there was a couple of people who fainted in the heat )

Despite thinking that I’d ran a really poor time, ended up, in the top half.
