Sack Race 20/21

That's the one thing I thought would go well for them with Lampard. I thought he was such a club legend there was no way Roman would sack him for being, what, 8th? in a league so crazy 4 wins probably puts you top 2.

Don't like it but at least they didn't improve the manager overall, seriously don't rate Tuchel.

Chelsea being 8th is an absolute disaster let’s be honest.

With Abramovich, I don't think there's anyone who would be saved because of their club status although he probably did receive more time due to his stature.

It's rinse and repeat with short-term success his only desire - fickleness to the nth degree.

I think this could massively blow up in Chelsea’s face, by and large Tuchel did not do a particularly stellar job at PSG and has got a reputation for butting heads with club’s owners and hierarchies in the past which is something Abramovich hates

Poor decision for me that. Given him one proper summer and just because they’re not absolutely flying he’s been sacked.
He was always filling a gap whilst they had a transfer ban, it suited both parties. The Roman fella probably couldn’t wait for someone like Tuchel to come available. The writing was on the wall from day 1 imo unless they were top and flying this was always happening

Why sack him after a win though?

What has beating Luton done to get him sacked?
Nothing, probably.

The board will have met and discussions would have took place with the owner and most likely with Tuchel's representatives if the interest in him is true.

Lampard's days were probably numbered last week and it's took this long to actually meet, mark out the formalities and then send him packing.

A loss over the weekend, while knocking them out of the cup, would have probably just made the sacking more viable to fans, but I doubt Roman cares.
