We looked dreadful under Koeman this season...signings made with no plan and Cuco at left back + a reticence to use Kenny...

Unsworth came in and brought some positivity and then Allardyce got us a fair amount of points on the board straight away...

I was quite positive on both Rhino and Allardyce but now fall in line with the new manager requirement...

We should thank Allardyce for keeping us up and appoint someone new...

Hopefully he can get us into 7th and then he can also walk away with his head held high.
Totally agree.

Some proper dead wood needs shipping out lively too.

West Brom played better than us over the two games, we had a total of one shot overall under this buffoon
Similar to what Roydo has just said, I'm not an Alladyce fan.
I want him replaced properly.
But, the points he got us, at that time, have made the last few weeks of the season stress free.

If, and it's a big if, we spawn a euro qualification, that means, IMO here, that we will get the loaned lads back in and give them some first team games in cups etc.

Maybe we couldn't get who we wanted long term then mate and were panicked into this. Don't forget we only wanted to give him contract till end of season

I’d certainly agree that there was panic in the boardroom and I put nothing past the PE teacher in pushing his mate our way. The entire thing was a mess

The £6-6.5m a year we’re paying him would have turned a lot of heads. For the sake of this club I pray he’s booted very soon

But unfortunately nobody wanted to take us on,short or long term Except Allardyce.

They put their entire house on Silva, like Sigurdsson in the summer, they arse farted about so much the entire saga went onto long. If Koeman was to be booted then the feelers should have been out before the trigger was pulled, but it felt like another hysteria boardroom panic and we ended up with Samosaurus

Oh, were going to take fart arsing about to a new level this summer mate.

Watch this space.

Not just signings during Ramadan, bank holidays, Friday's etc.. It's now a World Cup summer with an early window.

You may well be right mate, but if so, why did we take 5 or 6 weeks to appoint him?

I dont think it was because the application list was so long it took 5 weeks to interview them all.

If it looks like I am an advocate for him, I am not. Just trying not to rewrite history.
I really don't understand the hatred for Allardyce, he has come in and done the job he was asked to do. Ithink some of us on't like him for the England debacle and they are right about that, but he has done an acceptable job for us, and if he is asked to stay on for next season I would have no problem with that. We all have our own opinions and I respect all those who disagree with mine.

Irrational fears led to his hiring.

We were never going down.

Anyone could of kept us up.

What has he added?

Setting a team up to draw is not what we need.

How do you instill confidence in a team when you as manager have none in them.

I firmly believe that both Koeman and Unsworth were on their way to relegation. The former was more interested in his social life than earning his exorbitant wage, and the latter had senior players walking out of training sessions.

Doesn't mean that Allardyce was the right choice, though; and especially not after he turned down the offer to come in until the end of the season. There was more than enough time - not to mention a full transfer window - to right the ship without resorting to such desperate measures.

It's symptomatic of why the current regime is failing. None of them see any football outside of what they watch from the directors' box at Goodison.

I don’t want Allardyce but if any Silva etc came in and took us from near the bottom to finish 7th everyone would be raving and want him here next season. This is what I think Allardyce will play to in the media. I just hope our board can see through it.

Fear of relagation, as we were getting hammered weekly and playing gash.
A relagated Everton dosent get to build a new ground etc etc.

They were my fears, irrational ?
That's your call, but I was worried massively.

If you don't want to get relagated and lose your £250m odd investment, on players alone.. If I owned Everton, who would I get in to guarantee staying in the Prem..
Sam Alladyce.
