What makes me laugh about Jags comment here is, what the hell where they all doing in the break out in Dubai?

This man will never change his system, tactics nothing this is all he knows.

Jags is just looking for a new contract, as he knows he’s out a he door if a proper football playing manger is appointed
Perhaps he hopes Big Scam will take him to a new club to be one of his typical overpaid transfers who he leaves at the club to drain resources after he himself has been binned off.

It's the dream of all footballers at the end of their careers.

I read Jagielka has been praising the manager and said that he deserves a full pre-season so he can get the team ready for next season to play how he wants them to play.
Hope this is not Everton paving way for an announcement that BFS is staying
Personally I don’t think he’s going anywhere before the end of his contract.

I’m not saying that’d be my choice but if that is the case then at least the continuity of management would be something at least. Also his two signings (which weren’t Walsh signings) have been decent.

Sorry, “GRAVY, BISTO LARDARSE” - is that better folks?

Still convinced he beats Liverpool and gets a pass myself.

We’ve played well against them twice already this season, both under him.

Given the choice I’d still change manager but all I mean is, if he is here next season, sometimes continuity and stability are a good thing.

I'd change manager. He's done his job.

Do I trust the clowns running the club to pick the right manager is another thing altogether.
Sam could be back by Christmas.
He'd also be a better DOF than Walsh, but so would my pair of adidas trainers.

We rode our luck in the league but it was still an excellent and unexpected away draw. Conversally I thought the cup game was probably our best performance of the season, and showed to me what this group of players could do if they weren't set up so defensively.

There was nothing to lose that night as I believe Allardyce was happy to exit the cup so he could concentrate on our relegation battle. So it will be interesting to see how he approaches the rest of the season now we're safe.

Will be interesting considering Allardyce has already said that once we were safe we would start playing more attacking footy.

If he is here next season, then we better get ready for the toxic atmosphere that comes with every defeat and draw.

He needs to go. We can’t claim to be an ambitious club and have that oaf on the touch line going for draws against the likes of Watford and Burnley.

The club would have to get ready, for a whole lot of people voting with their feet too.

I think it depends on 2 things really. Firstly if Fonseca has said yes and will give them the nod. If not on how we finish the season. If we win 3 games, particularly the derby, finish top half etc I can see him staying.

I get your point re continuity and stability and generally agree (for example with Hindsight we should never have sacked Koeman) however I just can't see it with Allardyce. Currently 90%+ of fans want him gone on polls, I'm just not sure any managers position is tenable give those numbers. The only thing stopping that contagion spreading is the acceptance from many he will be gone by the summer with continued reports of Fonseca/Brands.

If he is still here, it's hard not to see enormous pressure from game 1 next season and unless a flying start is made, it really spilling over. Potential protests within the stadium but also protests becoming more generalised towards the board and Moshiri. We have a very good window, of the summer to find a new manager, it's very hard mid season (as we found this year) and it would be an enormous mistake to not replace Sam in the summer for me, as it's hard to see us doing anything other than wasting another year on self imposed transition if we don't.

The final point, is that young players, who were meant to be a key pillar of our strategy will be ousted under him. Cookman will leave, and the likes of Dowell, Connolly, Klaassen, will not be given game time.

I agree with you, I don't think it's automatic he goes, but god help us if he doesn't.
