I agree. Silvia is not the answer to this problem.
I could think of a number of problems that Silvia could be the answer to, but Everton manager is sadly not one of them.;)

Silva though? I'd have gladly taken him in November rather than Allardyce, and if he is still the only option to replace him in the summer he still get's my vote. No question.

I'd like to think we could get somebody with better credentials though.

We have soneone with with better credentials then Silva now in Sam.

Interesting to see the big mans win % is higher then both Moyes and Koemans and miles better then the total failure at his two previous PL clubs Silva had.

I hate the fact Everton landed in such a horrible situation there was nowhere else to turn apart from Allardyce but we have to accept thanks to Koeman and Walsh this is exactly what happened. Going for a manager as poor as SIlva runs a serious risk of getting us right back down there

I would rather look at the fact we had 4 shots in target in 6 games. Went to struggling teams West Brom & Bournemouth and basically put up the white flag.
Let’s also not forget, he’s had a decent run of fixtures, but been battered by most of the top teams. Even the 2 games against Liverpool and Chelsea, when we managed to scrape a draw. We hardly spent any time in their half.

Look at the stats doing the rounds a few week back, when we were 20th on loads of stats. IE shots, shots on target. Creating Chances and a few more that I can’t remember. Every one can use stats to suit their own agenda.

And as for silva, hill were virtually down when he took over and he gave them a fighting chance, some Hull fans said it was the best football they had ever seen at Hull.

Within weeks of taking over at Watford, he had them playing better football abd around the top 4. If he had kept his job I’m sure Watford would have been comfortably in and around mid table. And surely every Watford fan would have took that at the start of the season.

Of course it was the best football Hull fans have seen, its Hull City ?

He also only actually won 6 games at Watford, 6? Sam already has won 8 and played 7 less games. Watford might of stayed mid-table but the fact the manager wasn't professional enough to do his job and they had to sack him says a lot about him, besides the new manager already has a better win rate then Silva did, so they have replaced him easy enough

Anyway since when have Watford and Hull been on a par with Everton, why should whats acceptable for them be good enough for us?

Sams a dinosaur but he is way ahead of Silva

If someone were to say “stick with Sam” they probably be (understandably) ridiculed for not being ambitious.

However if I mention Simeone, same thing but I’m being too ambitious.

Not that strange tho is it?

Sam is beneath our expectations and Sineone is above our expectations.

Gotta get someone in that sweet spot.

Sam has managed Bolton. West Ham, palace. Sunderland to name a few. Are they on a par with Everton?

Also you question his professionalism, but quite happy to have the manger who got sacked from
England from doing dodgy deals. And probably had plenty of bungs over the years.
Silva would not be my 1st choice, but I would have him over sam all day.

This is a curious thing.

Make your mind up peeps. One or the other.
It's like saying either you keep your rusty old 98 Vauxhall Corsa or get yourself a spanking new golden Maserati.

What we need is something in the middle, something realistic.. like a second hand Audi.

Maybe in a few years we can look at getting ourselves a Mercedes.

No mate. I think that view is equally as unambitious as keeping Sam.

I don’t think we should attempt anything less than the top guys. Throw cash at them.

Chucking about a load of cash is par for the course in the premier league and what we can offer is a drop in the ocean compared with some clubs.

Chucking cash also enourages chancers like Koeman.

We should focus on someone who is passionate about the project, had interesting methods and wants to join Everton.
