Firstly welcome to GOT,whos your team by the way?
You say he has a decent track record of signing then list four, 3 of which were from twenty years ago and the other is a player who went back to his old club after not fitting in at Man United, the miracle at Sunderland was as much down to the failure of Benetiz than down to great tactical genius from Sam

He also did well with reviving Defoe's career, the guy was playing in the MLS a few seasons ago and all the common wisdom at the time was that Defoe was finished at top level football. You've gotta Allardyce a bit of credit for saving Sunderland from the brink. He also made shrewd signings last season at Palace with Milivojevic and Sakho, both of whom have done great. He's not just a manager stuck in the past.

Okay I know he is NEVER going to be a Guardiola, but I think some of the football at previous clubs has been a lot better than people give him credit for, when given a chance. I admit, the football hasn't been great for Everton so far, but he has got results and you do look a lot more solid unit than you did under Koeman and Unsworth, and sorting that out had to be the first priority. Otherwise, this season could have a bigger disaster than any of you ever imagined. I support the mighty Orient btw, so you think you've got it bad! :D

Had a real bad dream last night.
Liverpool win the Champions lge ( you all know they will btw)
With the mass media climbing all over it the next day and the blue side switching off any media stream for the foreseeable Buried in the minor print in the rags " Big Sam gets contract extension"

Must not drink too many Metaxa's so late at night ....frightened the crap out of me

The guy is a genius.

He knew it would be easy to keep us up,but turned the job down until he got that magical 18 months contract knowing the fans would eventually hate his awful football just like at West ham and Newcastle and be calls for him to let go and that he would be payed off with a year's pay of 6 million.

Gotta hand to him he done Moshiri up like a kipper.

To be honest if I knew I wasn't wanted in the first place, was able to negotiate a contract for 18 months after the boss had initially offered me one for 6 months only, and also knew if I was fired AT ANY POINT that I would walk away with 18 months worth of money ... well I would probably be as indifferent about it as Sam is.

He must be pissing himself at banking the easiest 10m + of his life.

I honestly believe there is no possibility that Everton will keep Sam next season. Why? Because they believed they urgently needed someone to dig us out of the crap and that came with a price - an 18 month contract. May 2018 job done. There is no way they will hand the money and expect to get future plans from a manager who came out of retirement and who will not be here after 2018/19. I know West Ham got away with a 6 month contract with Moyes, but he hopes to stay there long term. Sam does not. His Spanish villa beckons.

I believe per Talksport BFS claimed his time at Everton has been a success!!!!!!:red:

He is a pathetic cretin. There is a belief that there is life on Mars, it's true we've got a Marian in charge.

Cards on the table here, I'm not an Everton fan, first post on this board and I was just dropping by to see what real Everton fans were thinking about Sam Allardyce.

And I gotta say, I'm a little surprised, I knew there would be some negativity, I didn't think it was gonna be this bad though!

Of course it is your right to hound out any manager you like, but I dunno, I think he has done a decent job so far from where I'm sitting. I'm not really sure where you expected to be after 5 months?

I get it though, the football hasn't been great, results have been mixed, but with all due respect, I don't think anyone was going to come in and have you playing like Barcelona. And if you look at the table since the day he was appointed on November 30th, Everton are actually joint 6th with Burnley on points (with Arsenal down to 8th). That's not bad going considering the mess you were in before he arrived.

And Allardyce has actually got a decent track record in the transfer market in his past, and got the best out of some very good players like Jay-Jay Okocha, Djorkaeff, Campo, Zaha, he performed an absolute miracle at Sunderland 2 years ago (look at where they are now), got some great results at Palace last year, I just don't think he is as rubbish as some of you think.

It was only a couple of years ago, you guys wanted Mourinho in charge, and he's spent £400m since and is still playing turgid football.

If it were Mourinho or Simeone appointed instead of Sam Allardyce, and they had got exactly the same results and exactly the same performances, I think you guys would be giving them the benefit of the doubt, in fact you would be looking at next season full of optimism.

And I actually think Allardyce will be in charge next season, you look at it from the owners point of view, rightly or wrongly are you really going to risk your investment in bringing in a new guy and having the struggles start all over again next season?

So really, you have a choice, hound the guy out, and you will probably succeed in getting him out next season as I think it would be difficult for anyone to do their job properly with that kind of negativity going on, but you would be sabotaging yourselves, or try and get behind him (albeit through gritted teeth)... I think you will push on next year if he is given support.

Anyway, I think Everton are a great traditional club with great fans, I always look out for your results and try and watch you on TV, & wish you all the best for next season.

(I realise I'm probably going to get some abuse for this post, that's cool, I know what is like when you've made your mind up that someone is rubbish, and almost nothing short of miracles can change your mind, but I just don't think he is as bad a manager as some of you think).[/QUOTE

Everton pushed the panic button, FS has done nothing special, he's an egotistical one trick manager who would rater draw 0-0 than even attempt to win a game. He's a dinosaur and the sooner he goes the better for all connected to the club. Nobody has ever pushed on under Allardyce so lets hound him out.

I'm going to sit on the fence with this one.

He hasn't done a bad job, but he has also done nothing to endear himself to the supporters.
he's done what, if we believe relegation was a real threat, at the very best, an acceptable job, but it will only be considered acceptable as a short term solution, if he's here in the summer then that is unacceptable and a very real indictment to the true motivations of this board

I remember it happening and I sort of accepted it as long as it was till the end of the season only, though I do remember walking out of the west ham game thinking yeah we panicked appointing sam, if he's here after the summer it's a real disaster then for me, I can live with the 6 months he's been here and rinsed us for wages, as long as theres a progressive plan that just couldn't be put in place mid-season

I just want him shut mate.
I cringe watching or listenning to him every week.
Its almost as bad for me as seeing Phil Neville leading our team out then 90 minutes of finger pointing.
Is this what we've really become....hate it.

Say what you like about Phil Neville, but have you ever seen a player hit a lofted diagonal that floated so perfectly that an opposing full back could recover his ground to intercept it no matter where he started from on a pitch? No thought not - it was almost an art form.

Oh and big Scam out!
