I think the vast majority of our wins under him were deserved, i.e. we were the better team or would have been seen by the neutral as the most deserving winner.

The main problem is the disgraceful performances against the likes of Swansea, Liverpool x2, City, Burnley, Watford, Arsenal, WBA, Spurs, Bournemouth, West Brom ...

That second point alone must surely see him gone. Absolutely woefully diabolical outings in many games we should have trounsed the opposition.

Yeah but Rooney shinned in a rebound against Newcastle and Tosun scored against the worst Stoke side in recent memory. 2 away wins, what more do youungrateful lot want, that’s like winning the CL for a club like Everton.
However, we must remember why Sam got the job in the first place and it certainly wasn't to help with our push for the CL.

This season has been a disaster long before Allyrdyce arrived.

I can see the argument for consistentcy of management and coaching, sacking managers like we have the last few years isn't ideal. Moyes's tenure brought stability and squad building on a budget. You could also say our squad is unbalanced and weak in areas. But Sam has been here since November can anyone tell me what our style is?Which players he has improved? A marked difference his coaching has made beyond getting ten men behind the ball? Because all I see is aimless dross week in week out. I have zero faith given time he would do better. Which is why we need a new manager to implement a style over three years.

Which is why the board deserve a low mark on that survey too for hiring a manager that didn’t give one about Everton at all and then let him waste 200 million.

Not sure about that mate, think we got lucky in a fair few off them and were second best in most of the games.

It would have been easier to simply announce that Allardyce is leaving at the end of season, thank him for doing what he was hired to do and leave it at that.

The initial offer was only until June anyway, and everyone knew that the extra year he ended up getting was basically him negotiating a bigger compensation package.

All of this arsing around with surveys is completely unnecessary. They'd be better off just being honest for once.

Indeed.

And this lack of clarity fuels my concern that at this moment in time Moshiri intends starting next season with Sam at the helm.

As you say, if it was the case that he was to be let go in May, it would have been easier to just say so now.

As a guess it will be something contractual that if the fans are unhappy his payoff will be lower because why not just pay him off in 5 games time?

I think he was only ever appointed until May no matter what...

I think...

1) Things under Koeman behind the scenes were worse than we as a fanbase were privy to.
2) We genuinely gave Unsworth a run with a view to end of the season/would do a job.
3) Panic of a complete collapse set in, our first (Silva), second (Fonseca), and god knows how many other choices wouldn't come in November.
4) Media scrutiny on what's happening/criticism towards board forced the issue more. Unsworth wasn't doing it - the timing of sacking Koeman and his run of first three games did him no favours - Chelsea (A) lost 2-0, Leicester (A) lost 2-0, Lyon (A) lost 3-0, Watford (H) won 3-2, Crystal Palace (A) drew 2-2, Atalanta (H) Lost 5-1, Southampton (A) lost 4-1 - Allardyce was all but boxed off before West Ham (H) Won 4-0.
5) Allardyce until May quite simply because he was a short term interim option - he negotiated a longer contract to ensure a decent pay off.

All about "getting through" the next four games - they'll make sweeping changes next month without the need for moody protests, convinced of it.

I am a red fan and take every opportunity to have a laugh and banter at the expense of my Everton supporting friends but on some level I don't want anyone to have their joy and pride sucked the way Fat Sam does to every club he goes to.
As a red I don't want Everton to do well but as a football supporter I want Fat Sam gone, so I am conflicted.
