I think it would be different with them two because they are young managers with exciting ideas. We all know what Fat Sam can do, we've all seen his ceiling over the past two decades. We're not entering the unknown where the gamble could pay off, like Fonseca and Silva.

Not to mention, Fat Sam is a despicable crook.
Everton are 140 year old with shed loads of money and Sam is one of them drive way fellas that knocks on the door and robs the old dear and doesn’t improve the drive way

It’s weird because I can see all alternatives, I can see him getting sacked but I can also see him getting an improved contract. I think the sacking more likely as I don’t think Brands would have taken the job if Sam was staying.

What type of football do you play Sam, well I stick to 10 rules and never break them.
If he does go it will be 'by mutual consent'

If a newspaper published that, they'd be sued by sAm without a doubt. You can't, morally at least, and I'm pretty sure legally as well, libel people and get away with it just because its t'internet, surely?
It's not libel if it is true though.

Well it obviously bothers you otherwise you wouldn't keep bringing it up. :)

Anyway. As expected, when put on the spot about Allardyce you stay true to form and either ignore it or, as in this case, change the subject. You are being exposed as a one trick pony and you are so obsessed with defending Allardyce you are either an absolute WUM or a complete fruitcake.

Either way you're getting like an itch that won't go away.
Where was a post where I ever said Allardyce would be anywhere near my choice as a manager of Everton. My only defence as you call it has been directed to the childish and somewhat boring personal insults thrown his way by the more rabid of the forum membership.I think in the US there is a TV show called Dr Phil that might be of help to you.;)

I think the point people are missing is this is literally as good as it would get under Scam.

This is his ceiling. Kick and rush football where you beat some dross at home and that's it and the lofty heights of 8th place.

Totally agree with this...

You just have to watch his interview on sky last night to see how satisfied he was with the performance.

Every free kick in the attacking half was lobbed into the box irrelevant of how far away it was, and virtually every one was headed away by Lascelles. This was classic Allardyce. You could tell this was the instruction given to the players, but when it clearly wasn't working there was no change of tactics or approach with no imagination.

Read the report again and show me were SA has been arrested and charged with a criminal offence. In that scenario as reported, he may have been fooled by fake businessmen, but he did nothing criminal. Therefore he is NOT a 'despicable crook'...merely the victim of a commonplace journalistic scam. A bit like Keith Moon being caught naked in a Singapore brothel, its not illegal. Stupid, but not illegal.

Has Brands been confirmed yet
From what I’ve read it’s just the papers taking comments by Brands out of context.
Has the Club , PSV or Brands himself confirmed he is joining us ?
I was in work most of yesterday but I’m sure I seen people on twitter saying he confirmed it

Aren't you a ray of sunshine.
Just a bit cynical about the motives of modern club owners like Moshiri,he's first and foremost a businessman and I'd imagine his cost benefit analysis doesn't include the wants and needs of the fanbase. As a few other have pointed out mid-table finishes while the new stadium gets built (and the odd cup run to build up the coffers) is what his hopes are for the near future. If the legendary Usmanov money ever arrives thing may change. But don't hold your breath.

So by your own logic and going on league games only, Koeman only played 3 games against sides currently below us, and 6 against sides above us (3 home 3 away). Unsworth played 5 games against sides currently below us. Both managers had to contend with playing midweek games as well with the busy Europa league schedule, meaning they had little time to prepare for the league games.

bfs has played 13 games against sides below us (7 at home), without the midweek games meaning he has a whole week to prepare for certain opposition.

I'd say that's an easier fixture list, wouldn't you? He played WBA twice - arguably one of the worst sides in Premiership history - and barely mustered a shot on goal.

The same West Brom who managed to beat Liverpool at Anfield, and draw against them this weekend, and beat Man United at Old Trafford recently.

No fixture in this league is easy. Obviously over a 38 game season, the league position is determined by how capable a team is, but anyone can compete on any given day which is why West Brom troubled Liverpool twice despite being vastly inferior.
