I know there is a growing set of people "resigned" to FSA being the manager next season, I just really don't see it. What is the point in keeping him? Manager would have less than a year left, you STILL can't bring in any managers in the middle of the season.

I do get your point , but let's face it if ypu had not paid it's easier to stay away!
True mate. Some people just love going whatever they're being served up though. Some have never seen us win a thing, while others have forgotten what it's like. 23 years without a cup and over 30 years without a sniff of the league will do that though.

There isn't anything wrong with speculation, I'm just saying you seem to be resigned to it.

There is plenty of time before next season for Moshiri to act.

Well, I am resigned to it,

Nothing I am detecting from the club is suggesting to me that Sam’s days are numbered.

And this feeling seems to be growing both among people I spoke to last night in the pub and and in the ground as well as among our friends on here.

:(

It's important to me because I don't believe any manager worth his salt would intentionally disclose the details of a private conversation with one of his current colleagues, for the sole purpose of making himself look better at the expense of said colleague. There, I've answered your question, truthfully as I always do. Now answer mine.
You appear to becoming somewhat obsessive about Allardyce.

I would love to see a Poll conducted on here to see what percentage think Sam will be here next season.

Not whether they want him to be here, which would be a landslide NO......but what their gut is telling them.

I think he is sure to be here

There are 2 aspects to this in my opinion.

Fans of other clubs will look at how a lot of our support never gave Allardyce a chance from the start, saw the turmoil we were in when he arrived, and now see us in 8th so find it hard to understand. I think they have some justification in criticising us for that.

However, most of them aren't watching the football on display week in week out when making their judgement. They don't see how we set up for games against Swansea away, or that he's happy to settle for a 0-0 draw against a Watford side that are there for the taking with 10-15 mins left. And the more frustrating aspect is that a lot of the media and fans of other clubs have been fed this idea that no one can possibly compete with the 'Big 6' ever again. It's laughable the way this 'Big 6' are seen as untouchable when it's existed for about 2 seasons.

Football changes very quickly and I doubt in even 5 years time, the same 6 will be finishing in the top 6 every season without fail.
Ironically, the fans who can appreciate the situation we are in best, are those from two clubs that we have a great dislike of. Newcastle and West Ham.

It's difficult because nobody likes criticism, but I try not to take too much notice of what's said in the press or by fans of other clubs. Of more concern to me is the fact that Jim White is coming out so much in support of Allardyce, given that Moshiri has had a tendency to use him as his mouthpiece in the past.

I think Moshiri will make the call to keep him. Moshiri may be too concerned with getting the stadium build moving rather than worrying about what is happening on the pitch. He may feel that Allardyce is still a safe pair of hands to not let us flirt with relegation next season. I don't think he wants a new manager in who will want to spent loads.

I could see them extending his contract by 12 months or placing him on a rolling contract if he achieves pre set targets ,qualifying for Europe for instance.

I can tell you this for nowt, Joe.

The only reason I was there last night was because I had already paid in advance via my season ticket purchase.

I am too tight to let that money be wasted

But....if I was not an STH and pay at the gate was an option, I would have been nowhere near the joint last night, nor would I be going versus Saints.
That's my point also if we were fighting relegation that Sam performance would have been the right style and approach to that game - not sitting higher than the team who visited in 9th place!
I reiterate the other lot fans with the Money spent this Season would not put up with Sam or the board!
New ground with that team and we could get relegated if our luck runs out - I think Sam will be gone still if my source is correct!
