Well, if there were money to spend and a free hand to get shut of the rubbish like Baines, Jagielka etc it could work. Not likely to happen though as RM has moved on. I reckon after the WC he'll be in demand in Spain.

I recorded the match last night.....no, I was not going to watch it and put myself through that ordeal again

But I fast forwarded and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Roberto talking afterwards.

He is such a cultured, urbane fellow.

His comments were spot on.

So sad that the plotters in the dressing room derailed the project and landed us in the sorry mess we find ourselves in today

It would never happen, but in a storybook world,he'd need a defensive coach he'd listen to.

Becoming? Are you for real?. You know quite well I've always disliked him as a person. At the moment I'm only obsessive about him because he's manager of the football club I support. Once he's gone I wont give him another thought, until I see him on TV and then remember that I dislike him again.

At the moment I'm probably more interested in why you won't answer my question. Come on, it's simple enough. Just yes or no will do.
You bore me that much I've actually forgotten the origional question. But as your comic value has run it's course I've no interest in even looking back to see what it was....bye.

He managed to derail it himself. His refusal to defend or even do defensive training was embarrassing. It's all well wanting to play like Barcelona, but when you don't have the quality of players you adapt your style.

I don't see him leaving.
  • Jim White's comments this morning (and his relationship with the chairman) indicates that the board want to stick with Allardyce.
  • The club's own magazine talked up Allardyce as being a prominent person behind the rebuilding of the squad going forward.
  • Allardyce spoke about recruitment in the summer being imperative, wouldn't of done so without prior board agreement.
Sam did all that then West ham sacked him!

There were 3 banners at GP last night. 2 of them fairly big. I know that there was no atmosphere whatsoever to go along with it. But considering Evertonians are a passive old bunch when it comes to staff and owners, those banners effctively amount to a revolutionary action in some ways.

You mean the Majority share holder and they don’t talk anymore, hence the Everton abuse

I disagree.

Moshiri said ages ago at the AGM (I think?) that Jim White won’t be getting any more calls from him.

Also, Allardyce was asked last night if there was any more clarity on his future. He stuttered and paused, and has clearly had no assurances whatsoever on his future.

Yeah Moshiri doesn't speak to White anymore as he claimed the messages he sent him were supposed to be private.

Ha Ha. Yes, I agree. I admire the feller, but even last night RM pretty much looked blank when he was asked what he would have done differently if he had his time here again - he said something like "I dont believe in looking back on things like that, you have to believe in your self and not underline the negative". But I love that: he's a manager who wants to attack and that is ok by me...maddening sometimes, like but ok by me. And he stressed again last night that no matter what the player and what stage of their career they can always learn new things and get better.

The feller is a breath of fresh air. He has his way and bollocks to anyone who doubts it. Respect.
