Didn’t think about that tbh, they are only defending him because they feel the need to, the fans have turned, granted last night there wasn’t any shouts but I think it’s more to do with no being bothered and most people think he’s going, watch if they announce he staying before Southampton, then there will be shouts

Graham Beecroft, Talksport Merseyside presenter just got stuck into him, questioning the continued negative tactics in a dead rubber game.

Allardyce took Bolton to the brink of the Champions League - he was then denied the financing to make the next step

He's taken us from 5th bottom to 8th

If we can find someone genuinely better then we should switch, if not, I'm not against seeing Allardyce getting some money to spend in the summer and having a crack at achieving bigger things next season

His experience shouldn't be underestimated

You can give him all the money in the world, but in his twenty years as a manager, he`s put nine men behind the ball.

That`s not going to change.

No it's not. It's just a slogan! If it was our history we would have been winning stuff every single year wouldn't we?

It's a slogan, a motto, and one that is impossible to live up to. I know what it means!

You may well have been brought up with the "school of science", but that is another slogan, as is "the peoples club". The School of Science and NSNO have been pretty much jibbed off for over 25 years.

I don't like it either but it is what it is.
Ha ha. I bet you go round telling kids under 7 there's no Father Christmas.

Sorry mods. Should I have put that in a spoiler?. I might have upset some of our regulars:)

Quite a large swath of his career you've omitted there mate. He did really well with Bolton about what? 15 years ago?

He's been a dross survival merchant ever since. He's obviously going to better here than at Sunderland or Crystal Palace because of our players and resources. He's a footballing dinosaur.

How representative of Everton supporters is this site ?

If you were to judge the attitude of Everton supporters to Sam from the reaction on GOT you would say that he would be lucky to get out alive never mind with a compensation cheque.

But, at Goodison, where 40,000 Evertonians gather there just does not seem to be the same hatred for him.

Is Sam right when he says there is a minority against him, but there are supporters against their manager at every club ?
Is Sam secure in his contract for the next twelve months and talk of him being forced to leave is just wishful thinking?
Will Moshiri look at an eight place finish and think that it was a "job well done" by Sam after such a chaotic season ?

Will Sam be manager in season 2018/2019. At first I thought yes, then no and now I just don't know.

The one thing I do know is that I don't want him sacked and replaced just because he is Sam. I want a replacement but I want a tried and tested manager that has been successful in one of the big leagues.

It’s a bit difficult for the fans at the game to boo Sam during a game we’re winning in case the players think we’re giving them crap.

He was always going to use a win last night, to blow his own trumpet, no matter how the result was achieved.

Having listened to the " Allardyce Campaign Manager " - Jim White this morning, there is one thing has become apparent, the press are very aware of the depth of ill feeling towards him.

White did his best to dress it up, as " you know what you`re getting with Sam / be careful what you wish for etc ", but they can no longer deny that it`s 15 fans on the internet who want him gone.

Moshiri has shown how ruthless he can be, with the way he got rid of Martinez and Koeman.

Sam can bluff, posture and get his media mates on board all he wants, but if Moshiri has decided he`s served his purpose, he`s gone.

One dire win, changes nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Listened to him and the other 2 licking sams backside. The so-called Everton fan, I think he was called Jay was a definitely a rs . He kept referring to "Everton fans" instead of we.

Hope so

Besides a decent time at Bolton, which was a decade ago and has been pointed out left the club in a state, this was a period in football that had Everton being best of the rest,Pompey in the top 10 along with Reading
Newcastle and West ham couldnt wait to see the back of him,Sunderland is fairly mixed in their views, though the fact he kept them up while the horse punchers got relegated has clouded a bit of opinion on him,Palace Im not sure of the view there,if Everton want to just plod along and be a Coventry of the prem then stick with him,if there is any sort of ambition then he should be told now that hes out,my worry is that survival is more important than trying to push on

You can't or won't see he's exactly what he appears to be, no names, no insults, but he does send out football teams that are visually poor to look at, his win rate is around 30%. That's not just here now with shight players who aren't arsed...(that may be only 27%, but dont quote me)
This is over many years.
Short version; not the the sort of chap we need or want as a manager.
