Not sure what all the fuss is about Sam, took over a side that was falling down the league and looked like real relegation fodder and already mathematically out of Europe, got knocked out of the FA cup by champion league semi finalists, who themselves got knocked of the FA cup by then and still bottom club West Bromwich Albion.
We are one position off where we can realistically be in the league with current investment in squad. Simply nowhere near the investment currently that is required to be even top six anymore.

I don't want us to play well to finish just 7th, I want play boring and win something then I'll entertain being entertained watching Everton play football.

There was me thinking we may have at least an announcement by the time I got in from work today. Wasn't expecting him to go this week after last night, but there was still a tiny bit of optimism in me that there'd be an announcement that he'd go end of the season.

Given there's only 3 games before the end of the season now, I'll be amazed if there's anything said before then. Gutted there hasn't been, but just hope it's Van Gaal style (within an hour of the last game finishing.) Otherwise we may as well write off next season too.

No he was misquoted, he didn't retire from the Belgian national football team. Naingollan is just a bit volatile (at New year he posted this: ;

a video of him smoking and drinking).

He played against Saudi-Arabia for a minute or 20 and apparently they've worked on their relationship so I think he'll probably go to the WC (especially since Defour is injured). I was at Belgium-Saudia Arabia. Naingollan is immensely popular, when he entered the game the noise levels went through the roof, more than for a goal or something. So would be quite a call to leave him in Belgium. If he's in the mood tonight Liverpool will have a very uncomfortable game.

Ha Ha. That was just a warm up session for the Everton 1980s team before the brandy and cigars came out.

Hopefully he tears Liverpool a new one tonight.

If we don’t get rid of him in the summer, then next season will be an exact repeat of this. We’ll have a mediocre start (Sam only does mediocre) - the fans will make his position untenable after someone like Arsenal smash us, and we’ll be scrambling around for a new manager in November.

No it's not. It's just a slogan! If it was our history we would have been winning stuff every single year wouldn't we?

It's a slogan, a motto, and one that is impossible to live up to. I know what it means!

You may well have been brought up with the "school of science", but that is another slogan, as is "the peoples club". The School of Science and NSNO have been pretty much jibbed off for over 25 years.

I don't like it either but it is what it is.

Its the clubs motto mate.

And for by definition of the meaning we have not been good enough for a very long time.
