It was a female family member who a month ago heard he was going at the end of the season this was before the crapstorm - She and her husband have known his family distantly but had the odd meal with him in company , but that was ages ago, but they have contacts still within his circle a month ago the Mosh was not happy with him - that's what I got told , fingers crossed;)
Thanks for the info and may I add how refreshing it is for a ITK to elucidate on the actual source of their info.

He’s never going to work under a DOF who’s buying the players. And there is no way he quits. Maybe a mutual consent thing.

Personally I don’t think he will get the choice to decide his own future
We don't know what is in the mind of Sam Allyrdyce, Brands/Walsh or Moshiri.

People like to assume it will be a very simple scenario where he is sacked, compensated and replaced and maybe it will be but first you would need to see the contract signed by Sam last November.

I would guess that Sam is already a very wealthy man. As with a lot of people coming to the end of a long career it becomes more about legacy than reward. I think Sam would like a successful stint at Everton on his cv when he retires, it would justify his boast that he was capable of managing bigger and better clubs than the ones he had throughout his career. Everton is that final opportunity that unexpectedly popped up for him.
Sam is not widely accepted by fans but what does Moshiri think of him ?
He was given a job , he did what was asked.
My own belief is that Moshiri will only replace him if it is with a high profile manager, it will not now be with a Fonseca or a Silva.

I still think there may be a twist in the tail and a scenario pops up that nobody thought of or expected.

As I stated it was well before the survey, and a more prolific views to get rid of Sam - even on here like myself there were many posters wanting rid of him this has escalated not just on here but press wise etc - I hope and advocate the board do not change there mind at the end of the season like my source told me.

After we lost to Southampton i thought he was the right appointment. We were in a mess. But he has disappointed me big time. First its not the style of football. I really thought Sam would tighten us up at the back. He hasn't.The other reason is his mouth. Arrogance to the highest order. No respect for the club, fans and staff. Hindsight is a great thing though. Looking back to the home win against West Ham i think Unsworth was starting to turn the corner. He was unfortunately killed by the fixture congestion we had at the time.

I honestly don't see him being here next season. I hope we go for a young hungry manager. We need a hungry manager in. I like Wenger and Van Gaal but they are not what we need.

To me if Moshiri wants to break the top 6 or top 4 he has to get a top proven hungry manager and bankroll him over 3 seasons. Silva and Fonseca have potential and may become top managers but one man is about to become available and his name is Conte.

That would make no sense at all.

None whatever.

Which is why I am now firmly of the opinion that far from getting shut of him, he will be given another year on his deal
If Sam does stay Mosh may well give him a 1 year extension strictly contingent upon European qualification.
As you're convinced Sam stays, what's your prediction on whether Brands will come in?
The 2 don't seem compatible to me as Sam will want older Prem proven players and I assume Brands younger foreign punts. It'll be a strange mismash if it happens.

Wrong.

Twenty years as a manager, says that he isn`t capable of playing any other type of footy, other than what we`ve seen.

If he wanted to show us that he was capable of playing any other way, we`d have seen it once we were safe. That would be when he set his stall out for showing us what he could do next season.

Also, how can you state with certainty, that neither Silva and Fonseca will be our next manger ?

One is out of work and the other is coming to the end of his contract ??????

I agree with you, Bull.

I know next to nowt about this Brands fellow but if he is the type of operator those whom do know about him say he is, one would think him and Sam are totally incompatible :(

So you`re sauce is now saying that he`s staying !

Don`t do this to me Joey.

Please let him get sacked
If he goes, and it's a big IF at the moment, I think the old mutual consent chestnut will get rolled out.
Then "it's the right time to call it a day, I'm staying retired this time" etc etc. While he rides off in to the sunset with his wedge.
