We don't know what is in the mind of Sam Allyrdyce, Brands/Walsh or Moshiri.

People like to assume it will be a very simple scenario where he is sacked, compensated and replaced and maybe it will be but first you would need to see the contract signed by Sam last November.

I would guess that Sam is already a very wealthy man. As with a lot of people coming to the end of a long career it becomes more about legacy than reward. I think Sam would like a successful stint at Everton on his cv when he retires, it would justify his boast that he was capable of managing bigger and better clubs than the ones he had throughout his career. Everton is that final opportunity that unexpectedly popped up for him.
Sam is not widely accepted by fans but what does Moshiri think of him ?
He was given a job , he did what was asked.
My own belief is that Moshiri will only replace him if it is with a high profile manager, it will not now be with a Fonseca or a Silva.

I still think there may be a twist in the tail and a scenario pops up that nobody thought of or expected.

Novichok?

Wrong.

Twenty years as a manager, says that he isn`t capable of playing any other type of footy, other than what we`ve seen.

If he wanted to show us that he was capable of playing any other way, we`d have seen it once we were safe. That would be when he set his stall out for showing us what he could do next season.

Also, how can you state with certainty, that neither Silva and Fonseca will be our next manger ?

One is out of work and the other is coming to the end of his contract ??????

That's the thing, Allardyce said himself that when we were 'safe' we would see a different type of footy, more attacking, etc, I'm still waiting.

So you`re sauce is now saying that he`s staying !

Don`t do this to me Joey.
Heard nothing since that was when I first posted- that it's - if the board want a manager that the fans hate ....
The vitriol has got even heavier for him to go , and Sam sounds desperate he looked desperate in his after match interview with the robot mascot have you seen that interview?
He did not look like he was full of confidence did he!

Cheers Joey, you had me worried for a bit there ;)

Exactly mate, His style of play was perfect for Bolton in the early days of the league and was the reason they did so well, but things were very different back then. When you go back over all the other clubs he has managed he has always played the same way, and the clubs with a bit of something about them such as Newcastle and West Ham simply just would not put up with it and rightly so. When Jim White was ripping us a new one yesterday, he made a comment that Sam had told him that he wanted to win things at Everton (yes i know that sounds hilarious) Now i don't doubt that given his Real Madrid Inter Milan comment a few years back, but he would have to seriously change his whole philosophy and approach to the game and at his age is he really going to do that? i just don't see it myself. Also he always signs the same sort of players, and he would have to change his approach to transfers and transfer targets, again i don't see it. He only has 12 months left on his contract and he is never going to redevelop himself and redevelop the team in that time, and even if Moshiri decides to let him see his contract out i don't see him getting it extended.

I said it is my belief they won't be our next manager . Since taking over at Everton Moshiri has had Martinez, Koeman, Unsworth and Allyrdyce as managers and it has been a constant roller coaster with some very nasty dips. I think he will shy away from taking any more risks. We have seen he is not afraid to spend money and can be very determined, my belief is our next manager will be the very highest profile he can attract.

I don't think I said he would change his style, in fact I know he won't.
I think that if Brands is appointed and given the powers he would need and the person who dictates the style of football played throughout the club I think it will be very difficult for Sam..maybe forcing him to leave.

Right now we`re an absolute mess, with no chance of success any time soon.

No " high profile " manager is going to want to come in, other than for bank breaking wages.

So we`re left with ambitious managers, who want a work in progress, a chance to raise their own profile and also their bank balance.

We are not getting a high profile manager mate.

Joey, your ITK rep if he's still here next season mate:

None of us have a flying clue what is going to happen. There are no insiders leaking or anyone with contacts etc. It might be fun guessing and hoping, but the same trend is clear on here which is that there is somehow a volcano of anger, rebellion, demos, abuse you name it waiting to explode. There really isn't. Whatever the opinions expressed on online sites by the very few are neither seen nor cared about by the people who run the club. Two things are certain for them. 1. They have once again sold all their available tickets for next season. 2. Any danger there might have been about relegation has gone. 3. The club has reached a level of stability in mid table. 4. the match going fans, certainly the home ones are in a state of apathy. That would change with bad results, but not otherwise.
Their next step is to clear the squad of unwanted players and invest in a few new better ones and see where we go from there. Evolution and not revolution is my guess for their thinking. Maybe the new DOF might hasten the end of some staff, who knows? There is far more chance that Sam will be kept on for next season as part of the evolution. He will never end as a hero, but who knows what might be pulled from the hat? I know, hoofball.
