So they had a meeting. Farhad clarified it with him but won’t gurantee anything, Farhad won’t publically back him. Allardyce won’t say for certain what it was.

My take is that He has been told he has to see the contract out unless one of farhads main targets agrees to come which is why there have been no guarantees, as it all depends on others coming in, or not. Either way it’s a win for him. Either a massive pay off, or the chance to actually have money and a good squad and try to achieve something for once.

It's an odd situation this. So we know now that he didn't tell Allardyce he would be manager next season.
Allardyce has just assumed it because they discussed plans for next season.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Perhaps Farhad is just mucking with Sam's head to get revenge for him screwing us for an extra 12 months?
