Am I seriously reading that some fans want this fella to continue managing us???

Was 11 years under moyes not enough? Having a manager who has no pedigree in winning but is an expert in dampening expectations and not finishing in the bottom 3.

THIS IS EVERTON!!! Stop being brainwashed by the media and pundits.... their continuous pimping of parasites like allardyce, moyes, pardew, Hughes, pulis has led to the premier league looking like a hybrid division of 5 good teams vs 15 garbage teams. They dont want us to join the party at the top... they need us to supply their glamour clubs with players when deemed good enough.

We spend a quarter of a billion on players last year and somehow we are led to believe that our squad was bought from the bargain basket in Poundland. Yeah a lot of wasted money but the league is garbage and this season was a great opportunity to finish top 4.... that' how poor the league is.

I mean man United are 2nd.... they are the worst United team I've seen in a long time.

Allardyce has tried to make himself look like a miracle worker... the reality is everything has gone in his favour in spite of him peddling his dull brand of football.... the return to fitness of £50m worth of full backs replacing £50k worth.... bolassie coming back (jury out) £50m spent on 2 international level forwards....

He needs to be gonevasap and so do the other employees sponging off our club.

Who amongst our present squad, Pickford excepted, would attract buyers willing to pay decent money?
Different last season with Lukaku.
We've don't have anybody decent enough to flog.

No idea tbh, but someone will pay something for whatever players we want to ship out, and Big Sam did say that he needs to thin the squad. Like I said, should be interesting.

I thought Shearer summed the situation up to non-Evertonians pretty well on MotD.

If Sam’s contract had been til the end of the season, he’d be leaving in much more positive circumstances. There wouldn’t be too much dissent from the stands, with the fans looking forward to next season under a (hopefully) more exciting manager.

The problem is that extra year, which he forced us into.

MOTD last might underlined that attitude in spades: the lead into the highlights of our match had the commentator say "Huddersfield's last reasonable chance of three points before they face PL royalty in their last three games", then back in the studio Shearer went to town suggesting Everton supporters had a nerve to be underwhelmed by what Allardyce was serving up.

Wasn't Moshiri supposed to catapult us away from this level and put us amongst the elite?

Shearer lauding big sam. Ffs we shouldn't have been next or near a relegation battle. Sayin how we survived while likes of West Brom and stoke didn't Ffs

I thought he was right saying he should go now that he's achieved what he was hired to do to, and to be fair he is the only pundit to say he'd had us over a barrel with his contract, and he will be gone as the fans don't want him.

I know a few Geordies in work and they all hate Allardyce, Shearer will be the same.

That is why the team in third are likely to be in the Champions League final?it ain’t that bad.

Put another way: which Moshiri handed him because he had no successor lined up before sacking Koeman.

You know who will be first on that list of thinning the squad.
Everyone 23 or under

Well, he did say that one of the problems of having a large squad was that it hinders the development and opportunities of the younger players coming through; so that did sound like he was willing to give the younger lads their chance at some time. I would imagine the likes of Jags, Williams, Rooney, and maybe even Baines would be first on the list to go.

If they’re not good enough then I wouldn’t have a problem with that. We need more quality. The bulk buying experience last summer was a big cause of our terrible start to the season.

Following some poor decision making last summer, the 'management' panicked in November.
There can be no sentimentality in football where it matters most.
He has a contract. When a replacement is found, let's pay Sam off and thank him for his efforts. We need the new manager leading our club ASAP. Preferably within the month.
