Unless we get in someone who is a near guaranteed improvement on Allardyce, then I think keep him on for another year. We've had too much change and uncertainty, and we need to have some consistency.

The most important thing will be to get the players confidence back fully and bringing in the players that we really need over the summer, and strangely Allardyce does seem to have a pull for high profile players so he could help bring in the players we need.

Carry on building a solid defence, bring in a few players who can create chances, score goals and give him a chance to change his boring football into something a bit more exciting.

Personally I would like Simeone but that's unlikely, I just can't be bothered with another manager who doesn't know how to set-up a defence and don't know who would be a good alternative (these days I don't really watch anyone apart from Everton so won't pretend to be knowledgable about any other managers around Europe).

The league is rubbish..... when 3/4 of the league is garbage then it's predominantly exactly that.

How long have we taken pot shots at Scotland for being a 2 or 3 team league. We are headed there.
There are always poor teams in every league, however is doesn’t make the premiership rubbish we there are two teams still left in Europe.

We did win though. Would you rather we had 10 shots and lost? Genuine question.

Honestly is that a question?
1 shot on target at home against Newcastle and you are content cos we won???

If we manage 10 shots on target you would expect 2 goals plus a far better performance than what we seen.

For me, start at the top, cut off the head of the serpent. Kenright first, then fatty and his entourage and then quite a lot of the players.

Appoint a progressive young coach and a proper director of football and write off next season as transition.

3/4 of our league is pathetic.... the fact that Burnley are 7th is testimony to that. Look at the promoted sides.... ever seen a season where championship sides have come up with very little change to their players and look so assured? In fact has it ever happened that all newly promoted sides survived relegation?

That tells you everything you need to know.

2 wins on the bounce and many peoples mind set changes. We have been terrible in those two wins and were lucky Newcastle and Huddersfield are somehow worse than us, basically how he’s managed to drag us to 8th.

Allardyce can not be kept on in any form. As soon as the form dips next year we will be right back to this situation but then scrambling for a replacement in the middle of the season.

He can’t change mate. We’re just wasting our time and money and falling further behind. Sack him and start a fresh now

Could be that the championship is getting better?!

You're probably right and he's probably been told he's gone anyway seeing as he hasn't been backed publicly, just can't see the board making a good appointment.

Just have to pray that we start a fresh with the right person!

These pundits seem to forgot the money we spent this year, the fact sam took over and didn't move us on shows he is just a man who put's out fires.

Some how Sams PR machine has made us the fans the villains for wanting to be better. How the hell do Liverpool fans not get this sorta media attention every year when they always state "this is our year". Have to hand it to them for being optimistic and stuff but no media outlet has a go for them always wanting to be better, it seems if your outside the top 5 or 6 then you have no right to want to be better and should just shut up and be happy with what you got

There is a problem with this statement when looking at it from a pundit's point of view though. They don't watch us regularly so they will simply think back to the mess we were in around the time he came in, and see where we are now.

Since he has been here we have top 6 form.

The pundits don't see the boring football with limited shots on target because they hardly watch us. They also don't like the idea that anyone outside of their favourite 'Big 6' clubs can possibly want to push on and try and compete at the top. They have short memories too.

Why can't we put in a performance like Palace did yesterday against Leicester. They had 15 shots, 9 on target, but the SSN commentator was practically creaming himself every time they went to him.

You just know that we will never get that when Allardyce is in charge. And the only player I'd take from that Palace squad is Zaha, and most on here wouldn't even take him. Sorry I'd take the Chelsea lad who's on loan too.
