Just a couple of weeks to wait.... There's blood in the water, Big Sam and Little Sam and Bill and Walsh all clinging to a bit of driftwood as a Great Mosh Shark circles :bye:

I can't understand the mentality of those on here who say he deserves another season, or he has earned his chance.

If he fulfils his contract, where do you reasonably expect us to be in 12 months time?

Best scenario is that we would be expecting 7th or 8th, essentially where we are now.

In other words we would be standing still, and if your standing still in this league your moving backwards.

Where do you think we will be with a new manager at the end of next season? Answer essentially where we are now. The idea that a new manager will better 7th or 8th after spending a few months finding out who are the crap players and who are worth keeping, is frankly optimistic. The advantage of a new manager as we all know is not a magic wand with instant success, but a slog through 2 or 3 years to put us where we hope to be. I go for parting with Sam this season with a handshake, but let's not pretend this will transform us next season. It will just be the start of a process beginning from square one, and will depend on who we get and how quickly he and his new staff adjust. The only obviously available name is Silva, but I doubt many want him anyway. Who wants a manager with a Hull and Watford pedigree?

I would be amazed if Kenwright goes this summer, the impressions I get off a lot of the fans is the sun shines from his backside

First I thought Sam would be here for next season, then I thought he wouldn't but now again I think he probably will and the only thing that will change that is if a manager the calibre of Emery could be persuaded to come.
I ignore any comments or predictions from anybody on here as we have seen time and time again there isn't anybody with any inside knowledge on this forum.
So, outside of this forum what is the general feeling about who will manage Everton next season? , again I think nobody seems to have a clue, but I do think Sam has become a bit more bullish in recent weeks... but does that mean anything?
